According to the review of the Hai Phong Forest Protection Department, the entire city currently has 7 areas at risk of landslides in the former Kinh Mon town and Thuy Nguyen district.

These are the areas: Gu Pass (Pham Su Manh ward), Bulu Mountain (Bac An Phu ward), An Phu (Tran Lieu ward), Deo Mountain (Thuy Nguyen ward) and Hoa Binh , Le Ich Moc, Bach Dang wards.

According to statistics from the Hai Phong Forest Protection Department, the city currently has nearly 20 areas at risk of landslides in the western wards including: Chi Linh, Tran Dung Dao, Nguyen Trai, Le Dai Hanh. Near these areas, there are many families living, cliffs from 5 - 8 m high, slopes from 30 - 80°, some places are vertical, high risk of landslides if heavy rain continues.

Some landslide-prone areas have been basically handled and repaired. However, in order to proactively respond, control, and minimize damage caused by rain, storms, floods, and forest landslides, the Hai Phong City Forest Protection Department has requested the People's Committees of communes, wards, and special zones with forests to direct the inspection and review of forest land adjacent to agencies, organizations, households, and roads at risk of landslides, especially at locations at risk of forest landslides. Propaganda, guidance, and warning of forest contracted households and people not to stay in temporary shelters and camps in the forest when there is rain, storms, and floods to ensure safety.

Put up danger warning signs, arrange forces to control and guide traffic flow, do not allow people and vehicles to travel in areas identified as being at risk of landslides, and minimize damage to people and property.

During the days of rain, storms and floods, the City Forestry Department recommends that people temporarily stop planting forests.
