(CLO) Two people were killed and 12 others remain missing after a fishing boat sank on Friday in waters off South Korea's Jeju Island, a Jeju city government official said.
Authorities lost track of the boat from the South Korean port city of Busan early in the morning, the official said.

The ship was carrying 27 people and foreign nationals were among those rescued, the official said, adding that two South Korean citizens died.
The remaining 13 people suffered no life-threatening injuries, said Kim Han-na, an official with the Jeju Coast Guard.
The South Korean coast guard received a distress call at 4:33 a.m. Thursday (local time) about 24 kilometers (15 miles) off an island off the coast of Jeju, Yonhap news agency reported.
President Yoon Suk Yeol has ordered the deployment of all available resources for search and rescue operations, his office said in a statement.
At least 11 ships and nine aircraft from the South Korean coast guard, police, fire and military were deployed as of Friday morning to search for survivors, supported by 13 civilian vessels.
