Many places reach 69,000 VND/kg

Northern region

The price of live pigs today (January 4, 2025) in the Northern region recorded an increase compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 67,000 - 69,000 VND/kg. In which, Hanoi and Bac Giang are the two markets with the highest price of live pigs in the country, reaching 69,000 VND/kg.

The price of live pigs in Ninh Binh is the lowest in the Northern region at only 67,000 VND/kg. The remaining localities in the region are trading at a common price of 68,000 VND/kg.

Central Highlands region

Similarly, the price of live pigs today (January 4, 2025) in the Central Highlands region also recorded a price adjustment, increasing slightly in major markets such as Nghe An and Ha Tinh , to 68,000 VND/kg.

Currently, the price of live pigs in the Central Highlands region fluctuates between 64,000 - 69,000 VND/kg. In particular, Lam Dong province still maintains the highest price of live pigs in the region at 69,000 VND/kg.

Next, Thanh Hoa, Binh Thuan, and Dak Lak provinces increased the purchase price to 68,000 VND/kg. The remaining provinces had live pig prices ranging from 65,000 - 67,000 VND/kg.

Southern region

Along with the above two regions, the price of live pigs in the Southern region today (January 4, 2025) continued to record an increase in prices in Binh Phuoc and Tien Giang provinces with the same price of 68,000 VND/kg, Kien Giang and Tra Vinh reached 67,000 VND/kg; Soc Trang and Bac Lieu increased by 1 price, reaching 66,000 VND/kg.

Currently, the price of live pigs in the Southern region is fluctuating between 64,000 - 69,000 VND/kg. Of which, Dong Nai and Tay Ninh provinces have the highest price of live pigs in the region, both reaching 69,000 VND/kg.

On the contrary, Tien Giang and Tra Vinh have the lowest prices in the country at 64,000 VND/kg. The remaining provinces fluctuate between 65,000 and 67,000 VND/kg.

In general, the live hog market today has a slight increase in price after many days of stagnation. Survey shows that live hogs nationwide are being traded in the range of 64,000 - 69,000 VND/kg.
