The family of Ms. Hoang Thi Tiep (Cao Bang village) is one of the households that has made good use of support policies to develop the economy and reduce poverty sustainably. With the supported breeding cow and loan capital from the Social Policy Bank, Ms. Tiep not only develops the economy from breeding cows but also invests in improving 2 hectares of coffee land of her family.

Ms. Tiep shared that a few years ago, after receiving a loan of 50 million VND, she and her husband cut down old, low-yielding coffee trees to plant new coffee varieties and intercropped with pepper and coffee. When the coffee had an income, she used the profit to renovate the garden and buy more fertilizer for the trees to grow and develop well. Just like that, the family's coffee garden is now growing well, giving high yields, and her family's economy is gradually getting better.

Ms. Hoang Thi Tiep has built a spacious house thanks to economic development from coffee trees.

Similarly, Ms. Hoang Thi Tuyen's family ( Cao Bang village) was also supported with a breeding cow and a loan of 100 million VND to invest in developing production and raising livestock. Her family invested in buying fertilizer to take care of the coffee garden; built additional barns to raise cows and pigs; and planted mulberry trees to raise silkworms. Up to now, the breeding cow is ready to give birth; the family's coffee garden intercropped with cocoa is growing well, giving high yields, opening up an effective direction for economic development.

Ms. Tuyen excitedly said: “Thanks to the attention and support of the State, my family has the conditions to develop production and raise livestock to take care of my children's education. I will try to take care of the garden so that it will yield high productivity; the cows will reproduce well and develop into a herd.”

Since receiving component projects of Program 1719, the appearance of Dak Phoi commune has changed significantly. The program has poured significant resources into livelihood development activities, focusing on changing old, ineffective production practices. Thanks to that, many poor and near-poor households have been supported with breeding cows, breeding pigs and key crop varieties such as coffee, durian, pepper, cocoa, etc. Along with that are training courses on livestock and crop farming techniques according to standards.

According to the People's Committee of the commune, with stable livelihoods, the rate of poor households in Dak Phoi commune by the end of 2025 is estimated to be only 590 households (accounting for 19.14%), 577 near-poor households (accounting for 18.72%). In the coming time, the commune will continue to effectively use the capital of Program 1719; especially focusing on replicating effective economic models, so that every family has a sustainable livelihood and strives to get rich.
