Great potential for agricultural tourism development in the West of Quang Ngai

With the aim of supporting each other in economic development, 40 members of the Ia Chim Agricultural, Trade and Service Cooperative have initially succeeded with the garden tourism model. On an area of over 85 hectares, the Cooperative focuses on building a clean, quality brand for fruit products. With a production process following VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards, the Cooperative has 5 products achieving 3-star Ocop at the provincial level: Mongthong durian, Queen guava, Hass avocado; Thai jackfruit, and tangerine. Thanks to that, the Cooperative confidently welcomes visitors to experience the farming process and enjoy the products right in the garden.

Mr. Bui Trung Son , Director of Ia Chim Agricultural, Trade and Service Cooperative, Ia Chim Commune, Quang Ngai Province , said: “ Our orientation in the future is to have garden tourism. In the immediate future, for the cooperative with fruits, the first thing to provide is fresh fruits, fruits in the garden. And in the coming meeting, the Board of Directors agreed to open more culinary dishes, for people to enjoy the area of ​​local people".

Visitors can also visit medicinal plant growing models.

Coming to the western region of Quang Ngai province, tourists can also visit medicinal plant models, especially Ngoc Linh ginseng in Ngoc Linh and Mang Ri communes. Ngoc Linh ginseng is grown at an altitude of 1,500m or higher, has a high Saponin content, is very good for health and has high economic value. Currently, many "Return to the National Treasure" experience tours have been organized, attracting a large number of domestic and foreign tourists to participate. Joining this tour, tourists can visit Ngoc Linh ginseng gardens and buy products from this precious medicinal herb.
