Quang Ninh Provincial Planning, Fair and Exhibition Palace (also known as "Dolphin Palace") is located on a land area of 62,363m2, the construction area of the project is 20,678m2 with a total investment of over 1,000 billion VND. The project was constructed within more than 1 year (started on February 9, 2015 and accepted and exploited from October 2016).
Seen from Tran Quoc Nghien Street and 30/10 Square, the Palace is designed like a giant dolphin playing in the waves, located close to the shore of Ha Long Bay.
The project consists of two blocks, the first block is a dome-shaped house with an oval ground plan; the second block is located above, displaying a planning with a constantly changing cross-section, a large arc stretching from east to west like the shape of a dolphin.
Shaped like a dolphin playing in the waves, the project appears on the shore of the world heritage and natural wonder of Ha Long Bay.
Quang Ninh Provincial Planning, Fair, Exhibition and Culture Palace has a unique architecture, considered one of the highlights of Ha Long City, attracting tourists to visit.
On the days leading up to Lunar New Year, the scenery around the "Dolphin Palace" becomes colorful with flags, flowers and crowds of people shopping for Tet.
When super typhoon Yagi hit Ha Long in September 2024, a series of structures were destroyed, including the "Dolphin Palace". Up to now, the appearance of the structure is gradually returning to its original state.
During holidays, Tet, and major events, "Dolphin Palace" is an area for displaying, exhibiting, organizing fairs, and major music, sports, and cultural events in Quang Ninh province.
Along with the Museum - Library, October 30 Square, "Pig Fox Palace" contributes to creating a highlight for Ha Long.
