On the morning of August 18, the Admissions Council of Dong Thap University agreed on the admission scores for all regular college and university training programs based on the 2024 high school graduation exam scores (round 1) and the following admission methods: High school study results (transcripts), results of the 2024 competency assessment exam of Ho Chi Minh City National University (round 2).
Accordingly, the pedagogical group is the group with the highest standard score in the admission method based on high school graduation exam scores ranging from 22.5 to 27.84 points. In which, the highest is the History pedagogical group with 27.84 points.
Majors with high admission scores of 23 points or more include: Law, Social Work, Vietnam Studies, Geography,Educational Psychology, Cultural Management, Chinese Language.
Next are English Language, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Banking and Finance, and Accounting with scores of 19 points or higher.
Dr. Nguyen Quoc Vu, Vice Principal of Dong Thap University, said that in general, the admission scores for 2024 have increased compared to previous years, especially for teacher training majors, especially integrated pedagogy majors that meet the 2018 general education program.
The reason is due to the impact of policies, incentives, and support for students throughout the learning process. This brings positive results for the school in selecting good candidates for teacher training programs.
Besides, new majors that meet the needs of society such as Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Law, Geography, Educational Psychology also have quite high scores.
Depending on the major, the score ranges from 19 to 25 points, the highest being Geography with an admission score of 25.2 points.
“This shows that new majors that meet social needs will have an advantage in attracting candidates when registering for admission. At the same time, according to annual statistics, the employment rate of graduates from these majors is always over 80%,” Dr. Nguyen Quoc Vu added.
In 2024, the school will enroll 4,569 students for 44 training majors, including 3 new majors: Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Food Technology, and Construction Engineering.
Dong Thap University is also the only educational institution in the Mekong Delta region that fully trains pedagogy to serve the new 2018 general education program.
