Racing for orders at the beginning of the year.
Observations of the production atmosphere at businesses in the province show a vibrant and accelerated work spirit among employees. Many businesses producing consumer goods, textiles, footwear, electronics, etc., have seen their end-of-year orders increase by 20-40% compared to previous months. With the prospect of a continued positive market momentum during the year-end shopping season, businesses plan to maintain high production capacity at least until the end of the first quarter of 2026 to complete outstanding orders and meet the increasing demand from international partners.
The peak production period at the beginning of the year not only helps businesses complete their production and business plans but also creates more jobs and increases income for workers. According to businesses, boosting production at the beginning of the year aims not only to accelerate the completion of orders on schedule but also to proactively produce for orders serving the extended Lunar New Year holiday, thereby avoiding disruption to the supply chains of partners.
Businesses are also focusing on improving working conditions, ensuring fair wages, bonuses, meal allowances, and workplace safety. Mr. Ishii Hideharu, Director of Human Resources at Lixil Global Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd., stated: "With the diligent and responsible work of our employees, for the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, the company will apply a bonus system based on total salary, depending on employee performance. Regarding the payment schedule for Tet bonuses, the company will pay 1.5 months' salary before Tet, and after Tet, depending on business results, the minimum bonus will be 0.5 months' salary. In addition, a periodic salary increase will be considered for the fiscal year in April 2026."
With a sense of responsibility, diligence, and high determination, workers in Dong Nai are playing a crucial role in promoting production growth, contributing to the stability and socio- economic development of the province.
According to Mr. Ishii Hideharu, in addition to Tet bonuses, the company and the grassroots trade union also organize Tet gift-giving, brand-linking, and sales promotions for employees. In particular, they hold a large-scale year-end party with a series of lively cultural activities and a raffle. This is a practical way to show appreciation to all employees. Furthermore, they collaborate with the Provincial Labor Federation to implement key programs such as the "Trade Union Train" and the "Trade Union Tet Market 2026," creating opportunities for workers to shop for Tet and return home to celebrate with their families.
The enthusiastic work atmosphere in the early days of the year is contributing to bringing workers a new spring full of hope, signaling a new year with many positive developments. Businesses in Dong Nai expect that in 2026, employees will continue to maintain the current stable work pace; thereby, accompanying businesses towards the goal of sustainable development.
According to a report by the Provincial Labor Federation, the labor situation, employment, and labor relations in Dong Nai are currently quite stable. The bustling production at the beginning of the year not only reflects the diligent work ethic of the workers but also demonstrates the effectiveness of welfare policies implemented by businesses, trade unions, and local authorities. Trade unions at all levels are stepping up activities to care for workers during Tet (Lunar New Year), creating favorable conditions for them to work with peace of mind and celebrate Tet happily and prosperously.
