In less than two months, the Central region – the “carrying pole” of the two ends of the country once again struggled to cope with the continuous rains, storms and floods. Water rose to the roofs, bamboo boats rocked to and fro carrying people to evacuate through the rushing water.
Amidst these tragic images, millions of Vietnamese people across the country turned their heads to the “flood center”, quietly giving strength to their compatriots at the center of the storm. Joining the flow of support, Vietjet continued to take on the role of “wings” connecting love when its flights transported relief goods free of charge from airport bridges to localities heavily affected by natural disasters.

As of November 26, Vietjet has successfully transported more than 200 tons of goods and hundreds of relief shipments, including food, essential necessities such as clothes, gas stoves, blankets, along with medicine, medical equipment , life jackets and flashlights to people in Gia Lai, Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa provinces.
As soon as the information was announced, many individuals, units and organizations quickly contacted Vietjet representatives to coordinate the delivery. Each shipment carried the airline's urgent efforts, not only providing timely support to the people of the Central region but also spreading the message of solidarity, sharing, and connecting the hearts of Vietjet and the community.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tu, who sent goods from Noi Bai airport, shared: “I have seen many pictures of natural disasters, but every time the flood comes to the Central region, seeing the scene of devastated houses, people hungry, cold and exhausted in the floodwaters, my heart still aches like the first time. I searched for information on transporting relief goods, and saw that Vietjet supports same-day delivery, so I contacted immediately. I hope that my little heart will reach the right place that needs warmth the most, helping people to ease their worries in these difficult days.”
Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong, a person sending goods from Bac Ninh , said: “At first, I was very worried because I saw images of roads in the Central region being cut off, not knowing whether the relief goods would reach the people in time or not. But when I learned that Vietjet accepted to deliver relief goods for free and arranged for same-day transportation, I felt completely reassured. Seeing the goods being quickly packaged to be loaded onto the plane in time for the flight, I felt extremely relieved and warmed my heart.”

In addition to the relief flights, more than 8,000 Vietjet staff at home and abroad joined hands in the second internal fundraising campaign. The amount of money raised, along with the support from the salary of the company's staff, is 5 billion VND, which will be transferred by Vietjet to the Central region to help people overcome difficulties.
These silent contributions have become a noble tradition, always rekindled whenever the country faces difficulties and needs the community’s joint efforts. It is not only practical support, but also the spirit of mutual love that the airline has persistently cultivated in the cultural life of the Vietjet community.
Ms. Lan Anh, a Vietjet employee, shared: “I contribute as much as I have. I don’t have much money, but in times of trouble like this, I can’t stand by. Seeing people having to leave their homes and children huddled in evacuation areas, I feel so sorry for them. I always think that ‘when the lights go out, we help each other’, so I help as much as I can. Each person contributes a little bit and it will become a great resource, adding motivation for people to soon stabilize their lives. For me, helping people in difficult times is the most precious thing.”

All of Vietjet’s efforts start from people, are nurtured by love and connected by the power of unity. The spirit of ‘Vietjet people – compassionate hearts’ is always present in every flight, every product and every volunteer action for the community. Vietjet believes that when humanity is lit and every heart shares, the storm will pass, bringing smiles and faith back to the resilient faces of the beloved people of Central Vietnam.
