For nearly a century, every historical turning point of the nation has been marked by the wisdom, courage, and vision of the Party.
From the early days of the struggle for independence to the cause of national liberation, reunification of the country, and the current task of building and defending the Fatherland, the Party has always been the decisive factor in all the victories of the Vietnamese revolution.

The spring of 1930 marked the beginning of the modern Vietnamese revolution. In the context of the early 20th-century patriotic movement facing a crisis of ideology and organization, the birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam met the inevitable demands of history. From this point on, the Vietnamese revolution had a vanguard political party of the working class, imbued with the light of Marxism -Leninism, possessing the courage and wisdom to lead the entire nation.
That spring marked a decisive turning point when the nation's path of development was clearly defined: National independence linked with socialism. This was a choice consistent with the laws of historical development and the people's burning aspirations for a just, free, and happy society.
The spring of 1941 held sacred significance for the nation's destiny. After nearly 30 years of wandering in search of a way to save the country, Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh returned to his homeland to directly lead the revolution. At Pac Bo (Cao Bang), he and the Central Committee of the Party determined that the task of national liberation was paramount, established the Viet Minh Front, built revolutionary base areas, and prepared forces for the general uprising.
From that foundation, the August Revolution of 1945 triumphed, the government returned to the people, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and ushering in an era of national independence linked with the people's right to self-determination.
The spring of 1946 marked a politically significant event: the first general election to elect the first National Assembly of independent Vietnam. For the first time in history, the people directly exercised their civic rights, choosing representatives to represent their will and aspirations. This event affirmed the democratic nature of the new regime and the legitimacy of the revolutionary state in a challenging context.
The spring of 1951 marked another important development in the revolution. The Second National Congress of the Party was held amidst the fierce stage of the resistance war against French colonialism. The Congress perfected the strategy of a comprehensive, protracted, and self-reliant resistance war involving the entire population; and simultaneously decided to bring the Party into open operation under the name of the Vietnam Labor Party.
The strategic decisions made in the spring of 1951 laid a solid foundation for the victory of the resistance war. Nine long and arduous years culminated in the Dien Bien Phu Victory in 1954, "renowned throughout the world, shaking the earth," affirming the wisdom and leadership of the Party in the most critical moment.
The pinnacle of historical Springs in the 20th century was the Spring of 1975 – the Spring of complete victory. After 21 years of resistance against the US, under the leadership of the Party, our army and people achieved the great Spring victory, completely liberating the South, unifying the country, and bringing the nation together as one. This was a victory of the correct revolutionary line, of the strength of national unity, and of the will that "Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom."
From the spring of 1975, the Vietnamese nation entered a new era: the whole country was unified, moving forward together towards socialism, healing the wounds of war, and building and defending the Fatherland.
The next major turning point came with the Sixth National Congress of the Party in 1986, ushering in the "spring of reform." In the spirit of facing the truth squarely, the Party initiated a comprehensive national reform. Over the past four decades, Vietnam has achieved many important accomplishments: economic growth, improved living standards for the people, strengthened national defense and security, and an increasingly elevated international standing.
These results further affirm the irreplaceable leadership role of the Party in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
The spring of 2026 brings with it a new spirit and renewed confidence. The 14th National Congress of the Party was a resounding success, setting strategic directions for the country's next stage of development. Alongside this are the upcoming elections for the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels, further affirming the people's right to self-governance in a socialist rule-of-law state.
From the spring of 1930 to the spring of aspiration and progress, it has been a journey of nearly a century of struggle, construction, and development, closely linked to the correct and creative leadership of the Party and the unity of the entire people. It is a path steadfastly pursuing the goals of national independence and socialism, for the happiness of the people and the enduring existence of the Fatherland.
That belief continues to be a great source of spiritual motivation, fostering willpower, courage, and determination for the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army to move forward steadily in the new springs of the nation.
