Take on the role of a guide and mentor.
For nearly 12 years, Mr. Ho Thanh Tung, a chemistry teacher, has consistently innovated his teaching methods. Many of his initiatives, such as "Training 8th-grade students to balance chemical equations using the Metal-Nonmetal method" and "Helping students excel in junior high school chemistry according to the general education curriculum," have been effectively implemented at the school.
Teacher Ho Thanh Tung introduced the "Smart Solubility Table" into his Chemistry teaching.
Most notably, the initiative "Smart Solubility Table for Junior High School Students" was honored in the 2021 Vietnam Innovation Golden Book and won the "National Youth Innovation Award 2022". This initiative helps students quickly and easily look up information, reducing the feeling of difficulty with Chemistry.
After completing it in 2019, the teacher continued to improve it to suit the new curriculum, expanding its target audience to include high school students. To date, the product has been printed and distributed in many provinces and cities.

Furthermore, Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai, a mathematics teacher, is one of the pioneers in applying information technology in teaching. His initiative, "Techniques for applying inequality normalization to solve problems involving proving inequalities and finding algebraic extrema," helps students approach problems in a more systematic, logical, and creative way.
According to Mr. Tai, to foster a love of natural sciences among students, it's necessary to create a positive learning environment, reduce pressure, and increase interest. "Teachers should provide initial guidance, then accompany students throughout the process of independent exploration and problem-solving," he shared.
Teacher Nguyen Chi Tai applies the technique of normalizing inequalities in teaching mathematics.
With a student-centered approach, both teachers made the lessons lively by using presentation slides and illustrations, contributing to improved comprehension and fostering proactiveness and creativity.
Deputy Principal of Vo Thi Sau Secondary School, Tran Cong Khanh, commented: “Mr. Ho Thanh Tung and Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai are dedicated teachers who always strive for professional innovation. Their two recently recognized initiatives have high applicability and can be replicated. The team of gifted students coached by these two teachers won 100% of their prizes in the provincial-level competition, including two first prizes in Chemistry and two second prizes in Mathematics.”
Inspiring a passion for science and creative thinking.
According to teacher Ho Thanh Tung, in the context where science, technology , and innovation have become the driving force for development, it is essential to ignite a passion for natural sciences among students.
Dedication, passion for his profession, and a strong connection with his students are familiar hallmarks of teacher Ho Thanh Tung.
"I want students to understand that science is the key to the new era, so they will proactively study and research," the teacher shared.
Based on that guidance, the teacher has helped students win nearly 30 awards at science and technology innovation competitions. In the recent provincial-level excellent student competition alone, the Chemistry team under his supervision had two students win first prize.
Bui Lam Huy Thuan, a student in class 9/2, shared: “The smart solubility table helps me look up information quickly and solve problems more effectively. I won first prize in the provincial Chemistry competition thanks to the dedicated guidance of my teacher.”
Ninth-grade students at Vo Thi Sau Secondary School use the "Smart Dissolution Calculator" to solve exercises quickly and efficiently.
In the subject of Mathematics, Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai not only focuses on knowledge but also cultivates independent thinking and problem-solving skills. At the same time, in his role as Head of the Youth Union, he also pays attention to nurturing soft skills, helping students develop comprehensively.
Huynh Hoang Thinh, a student in class 9/2 who won second prize in the provincial-level math competition for gifted students, said: “The teacher’s lessons are very lively and easy to understand, helping us to approach many types of problems. I learned a lot from the teacher’s teaching methods.”
Teacher Tài's initiative has contributed to creating enthusiasm for learning, helping students win many high awards in provincial-level student competitions.
The combination of scientific thinking, modern teaching methods, and the innovative spirit of the two teachers has contributed to creating a positive educational environment at Vo Thi Sau Secondary School.
