The pickleball tournament "For poor but studious students" took place at a special time, when Khanh Hoa and many provinces in the South Central region had just experienced historic floods that left behind many heavy damages. Therefore, the spirit of the athletes did not stop at sports competition, but also carried the meaning of sharing and spreading love.

The tournament attracted 42 athletes from agencies and businesses to participate.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the tournament, journalist Nguyen Ngoc Phuc, Head of Thanh Nien Newspaper's representative office in the South Central region, said that the tournament is not only a sports playground but also an activity with profound sharing meaning at a time when many provinces in the South Central region are overcoming the consequences of floods.
"We organized the pickleball tournament with the desire to create a healthy playground, connect sports lovers, and at the same time contribute to supporting poor students to overcome difficulties. After the recent historic flood, many children in Khanh Hoa and neighboring provinces faced many difficulties. The scholarships from today's program will be a practical source of encouragement, helping them confidently continue going to school," shared the Head of Thanh Nien Newspaper's representative office in the South Central region.
