THE FIRST FDI ENTERPRISE IN QUANG TRI TO MEET CULTURAL STANDARDS Super Horse Factory - Chaichareon Company Limited belongs to S. Chaichareon Group, Thailand, Laos (headquartered in Mukdahan, Thailand) located in the Northwest Industrial Cluster, Lao Bao Special
Economic Zone (Huong Hoa, Quang Tri). This is one of the earliest FDI enterprises (100% foreign invested capital) to appear after the establishment of Lao Bao Commercial Zone. In 2001, the factory officially came into operation with an investment capital of 2 million USD, the main product is energy drink branded Super Horse. After more than 20 years of operation, the factory's current capacity is 52 million cans/year; the product is available in all provinces and cities nationwide.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Dung - Deputy General Director of the Company introduced us to the bright spots of the unit. Creating a modern and civilized working environment, creating conditions for accommodation and meals for staff living far away; implementing a satisfactory salary regime for each individual according to their capacity and qualifications. Every year, the company also organizes timely reviews and awards for individuals and groups with good achievements in the working process. Thanks to that, the company has a team of technical staff and skilled workers who join hands and build the company. Mr. Dung emphasized that corporate culture is an issue that the company always cares about. Because culture connects people, bringing people to the highest limit of dedication. Only then can each individual develop their capacity and have a long-term commitment to the company. With that goal, in 2020, the company organized a campaign to build a culturally standard enterprise. And by 2022, the enterprise will receive the title of district-level cultural standard enterprise. This is the first FDI unit in
Quang Tri province to have that honor.

Ms. Le Thi Nguyet (born in 1976) is a worker in the company's can-conveying department. In a cheerful and friendly working environment, the woman looks younger than her age of U50. Up to now, she has lived under this "warm roof" for 21 years. Since its establishment, all the joys and sorrows have been encouraged and shared by colleagues and leaders. Ms. Nguyet said that her husband works at the Tuynel brick factory and they have two children. Working life is also hard but the income is stable. Especially at the place where she works - Super Horse factory, she finds love for her career, loves work and feels comfortable and is always respected. “Every year, the company supports many programs to help workers like us reduce financial difficulties, thereby saving for the future. My two children receive 9 million VND (4.5 million VND/child) in tuition fees from the company at the beginning of each school year. At the end of the year, if they achieve high results or win prizes in competitions, the company will give them a reward. The company also supports 2 million VND/year for gas to work,” Ms. Nguyet shared.

Mr. Tran Tan Huy - Chairman of the Company's Trade Union said that thanks to the company's treatment policy, care and support in both material and spiritual life, most workers have long-term attachment to the unit, considering the company as their home. Currently, the company has about 90 workers working at the factory, 30 market development workers. Many have accompanied the factory since its establishment until now. "Our company has a stable number of workers. There are very few people quitting, so there is little turnover like many other units. In addition to income and treatment, they find comfort and respect in each job position," said Mr. Huy. According to Deputy General Director Nguyen Trong Dung, in addition to implementing many social security policies for employees such as housing support, gasoline, food allowance, 13th month salary, Tet bonus, the company also supports tuition fees for employees' children up to grade 12 (from 2 - 5 million VND/year), encourages timely visits to employees and relatives with serious illnesses, terminal illnesses... The company also actively participates in public service activities, sponsors, and contributes to promoting trade in the locality and provinces in the country.

SMALL FAMILIES IN "SUPER HORSE HOME" Ms. Nguyen Thi Tham - Chief Accountant of the factory told us: Super Horse factory is a home. I asked again: "Home"? - "Home means my house! There are 15 couples here who are all factory workers. They live in the factory premises, bonded and live together with the factory", she explained. Then she pointed to the row of houses for workers, where there are nearly 20 rooms for small families. Ms. Tham said that the company supports accommodation for workers. Free of electricity, water and food costs. I joked: So when you receive your salary, you just have to buy gold to store, right? Ms. Tham smiled proudly. According to Ms. Tham, in the morning, when starting the working day, workers who come early can prepare their own breakfast with food available in the cafeteria. At noon and in the evening, the chef cooks and prepares the food on trays. Each group that takes a break goes in to get their own food, rests, and then continues working. I imagine each worker in the factory in my mind: Every morning they wake up in the workers’ dormitory, have breakfast at the factory, have lunch at the factory, have dinner at the factory… And all for free.

The workers' housing area is shady. The green mango and longan trees are carefully tended by the hands of gardeners. Each room is about 20 square meters wide and is a warm home for small families. I met Ms. Nguyen Thi Duyen - an office worker in the family's resting room. She said that during her lunch break, she was preparing for her second child's birthday tonight. Her husband, Mr. Nguyen Van Toan, is also a factory worker, working in the mixing department. The two are from Vinh Linh district, have been married for 8 years and have 2 children. They met at the "warm home" Super Horse. After getting married, the company arranged for them to live here. "Although it is not as spacious as normal houses, everything here is taken care of by the company. We just work hard to earn a high income and "repay" this warm home for protecting and helping us to have a full and comfortable life like this", Ms. Duyen confided.

According to Mr. Tran Tan Huy - Chairman of the Company's Trade Union, in the factory grounds there is a small hamlet called Super Horse hamlet. 15 families have parents working for the same company and their children grew up here and studied here. There are about 30 children living with their parents. This factory is their hometown, their home! Worker Nguyen Van Thuong, from Quang Tri town, has worked at the factory for 20 years. His wife, Ms. Ho Thi Nhung, is a kitchen staff. "My youth, my marriage and my later years have all been tied to the factory. Currently, our family of 3 lives very happily and comfortably in the factory's rented room. I have not thought about moving out because living here is very fun and the company pays for it. I will work and live here until I retire and return to my hometown," said Mr. Thuong.

Comrade Tran Thi Thuong - President of the Huong Hoa District Labor Federation said that Super Horse Company is a large enterprise with a modern production line system, and its products are present in many provinces and cities across the country. In recent times, thanks to the attention of the company's trade union, the lives of workers have been taken care of and constantly improved. In addition to the provisions of the law, the Super Horse Company's Trade Union has other breakthrough agreements with many incentives for workers. This makes workers stay attached to the factory for a long time. They see the factory as a common home, where there are warm homes built by the company's leaders, sharing difficulties. This is a "bright spot" in trade union activities in the trade union block of enterprises in Huong Hoa district. Having such attention and support is also something to be appreciated in difficult economic times like this. It is the motivation for workers to continue to contribute and do their best for development. Leaving the factory, we still remember the words of Mr. Tran Tan Huy, Chairman of the factory's Trade Union: "Stable income, high benefits, care for workers' lives... are very good criteria. However, that is not all. Here, every worker always finds joy and comfort in their work, they are shared and respected."
