Bau Chim Hamlet is one of the most remote and disadvantaged areas in Tan Phu Commune. The residents have been living there for nearly 40 years, but previously had no access to the national power grid. They mainly used mini-generators or borrowed electricity from distant households. As a result, the power supply was weak and intermittent, only enough to power a few light bulbs, posing safety risks and significantly impacting daily life, education, and economic development.

Mr. Vo Van Son, Head of the Front Committee of Bau Chim hamlet, said: "For many years, people have had to use generators or makeshift electricity lines, which are expensive and inefficient. In particular, pumping water for irrigation has been difficult, increasing production costs and directly affecting people's income."

To provide electricity to this residential area, on February 13th, Tan Phu commune completed the investment in 1.5km of low-voltage power lines and two transformer substations, Phu Xuan 9.1 and Phu Xuan 9.2, ensuring safe and stable electricity supply for households. Despite difficult construction conditions, complex terrain, and a tight deadline in the days leading up to Tet (Lunar New Year), the Dinh Quan Power Management Team made efforts to mobilize manpower and equipment, organize contract signing at homes, transport materials and equipment, and complete the installation on schedule.

The energization of the national power grid for 40 households in Bau Chim hamlet not only helps people celebrate Tet more fully and warmly but also opens up opportunities to promote sustainable socio-economic development in the locality in the future.
