Ninh Binh supports a school with tens of billions of dong in the coastal area of Ca Mau

Students of Song Doc Primary School 5 are happy to have a new standard school in the future.

This is one of many projects of special significance, sponsored by the sister province of Ninh Binh, as part of a series of large-scale activities towards the 85th anniversary of the Hon Khoai Uprising and the Revolutionary Tradition Day of the Party Committee, people and army of Ca Mau province (December 13, 1940 - December 13, 2025). This is also an important highlight of the 65th anniversary of the twinning between Ca Mau and Ninh Binh provinces (1960-2025).

The event was attended by comrade Huynh Quoc Viet, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee; comrade Tran Song Tung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee ..., along with many local leaders, people and students.

Leaders of Ca Mau and Ninh Binh provinces attended the groundbreaking ceremony amid the joy of the students.

The Song Doc Primary School No. 5 project that was started this time has a total investment of about 50 billion VND, of which the sister unit of Ninh Binh province supported 20 billion VND. This is a meaningful gift from the Party Committee, government and people of Ninh Binh province to Ca Mau. The project does not only stop at consolidating classrooms but also solves the urgent problem of educational infrastructure in the coastal area of Song Doc.

Leaders of Ca Mau and Ninh Binh provinces and the Party Committee and government of Song Doc commune performed the groundbreaking ceremony.

According to the design and planning, the upgrading of the school aims to ensure the physical facilities to implement 2-session teaching/day and organize boarding for students. These are the core criteria for the school to aim to meet national standards, better serving the learning needs of children in coastal areas, where educational conditions are often more difficult than in central areas.

Vice Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee Le Van Su spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, Le Van Su, emphasized that this project is a vivid proof of the spirit of "65 years - One heart" between the two localities.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Mr. Su expressed deep gratitude for the valuable support from Ninh Binh province and requested the construction units to ensure quality and progress so that the project can soon be put into operation and bring about practical effectiveness.

Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee Huynh Quoc Viet presented flowers to thank comrade Tran Song Tung, Standing Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee.

Concluding his speech at the groundbreaking ceremony, the leader of Ca Mau province sent a message of companionship and cooperation for mutual development between the two provinces in the “new era, the era of national development”. The new school in Song Doc will not only be a place to spread knowledge, but also a red address to educate the tradition of the steadfast North-South friendship for future generations.

Leaders of Ca Mau and Ninh Binh provinces presented gifts to students who have overcome difficulties to study at Song Doc Primary School 5.

On the occasion of the groundbreaking ceremony, the People's Committees of Ca Mau and Ninh Binh provinces presented 30 gifts (each gift includes a school bag and 1 million VND in cash) to students who have overcome difficulties to study at Song Doc Primary School 5.

In that historical flow, investment in education is considered a strategic step. Currently, Ca Mau has over 86% of schools meeting national standards. The province is resolutely implementing Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthrough in education development, with the goal of completing the criteria for teaching 2 sessions/day and the boarding system by 2027. The support from Ninh Binh province through this project is a great driving force for Ca Mau to realize the above goals, in addition to budget resources and socialization.

Along with this groundbreaking ceremony, the series of commemorative activities also includes a live television program connecting the two points Ca Mau-Ninh Binh; a signing ceremony of strategic cooperation for the 2025-2030 period and a space to display typical OCOP products.
