A group of young Vietnamese people brilliantly overcame a series of strong team builders from the UK, US, India, Poland, and other countries to win the "MrBeast World Wide Building Challenge" competition hosted by YouTube King MrBeast. This competition required teams to showcase their ability to build a map simulating their country within the Minecraft sandbox game.
With 38.5 points, this victory not only affirms the skill of Vietnamese gamers but also showcases the beauty of Vietnam's landscapes in the digital space.
Amidst a plethora of massive virtual creations from international teams, the Vietnamese team chose a unique path. They opted to meticulously recreate the Ninh Binh scenic area within the virtual world .
Dinh Huy Tu (in-game nickname: Dogeee), representing the team, shared: "We compete with national pride. Vietnam is not only beautiful in real life but also poetic and full of depth in the game world. Every block we place is carefully considered in terms of composition and lighting. We pay attention to the smallest details because that's what creates the 'soul' of the artwork."

The Vietnamese team chose Ninh Binh to feature in the Minecraft game world because it is an ancient capital, home to many world-recognized heritage sites. The team wanted to promote the image of Vietnam's picturesque landscapes to millions of MrBeast viewers worldwide.
The "weapon" that helped Vietnam win over the international judges was the astonishing meticulousness in recreating Bai Dinh Pagoda. The soaring, layered roofs, the long corridors of Arhat statues, and the tower reaching towards the clouds were all vividly recreated down to the smallest detail.

Not only did they copy the architecture, the team skillfully added the brown hues of wood, the golden color of Buddha statues, and even lanterns that were not present in the original game. When the game's light shines on them, viewers can clearly feel the peacefulness of a spiritual land.
Besides the majestic beauty of the temples, the Vu Lam Royal Palace and Ngoa Long Mountain were the highlights that amazed the world judges. The image of the winding stone dragon on the summit of Mua Mountain was realistically recreated through a panoramic view. This presentation made viewers feel as if they were on a virtual reality tour of the heritage site.

To make a name for themselves in the Minecraft community, the entire team went through a grueling journey of "eating, sleeping, and working with mice and keyboards." For two consecutive weeks, the members sacrificed sleepless nights, sometimes only getting 3 hours of sleep a day.
The team studied thousands of archival photographs to ensure the proportions between the mountains and the structures provided the most realistic feel possible.
The image of Ninh Binh tourism shining on an international stage like Minecraft is clear evidence of the power and reach of Vietnamese culture. This success confirms that the Vietnamese Minecraft community not only possesses superior skills but also has its own unique identity, knowing how to tell the emotional story of their homeland through each pixel.
