Ninh Thuan inaugurates Northern Ring Road worth nearly 500 billion VND

The Northern Ring Road of Ninh Thuan province (section from Khanh Nhon Pass to National Highway 1) is over 10 km long, with a total investment of over 487 billion VND, has just been inaugurated and officially opened to traffic.

The People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province has just held the inauguration ceremony of the Northern Ring Road of Ninh Thuan province (section from Khanh Nhon Pass to National Highway 1). The event aims to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Ninh Thuan (April 16, 1975 - April 16, 2025) and the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

The Northern Ring Road of Ninh Thuan Province (from Khanh Nhon Pass to National Highway 1) is 10.42 km long; total investment is 487 billion VND. The route is designed according to the standards of level II traffic works, with a cross-section of 21 m wide (of which, the road surface is 14 m wide).

The Northern Ring Road of Ninh Thuan province (section from Khanh Nhon Pass to National Highway 1) was deployed and completed within 16 months (3 months ahead of schedule); helping to connect with National Highway 1A, shortening the distance between coastal localities of Ninh Hai district and the northern economic dynamic region of Ninh Thuan province.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Tran Quoc Nam, Chairman of Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee requested the Management Board of Ninh Thuan Provincial Land Fund Development and Investment Project (the investor) to continue to proactively review and complete the remaining work, especially items related to ensuring traffic safety; coordinate with local authorities to organize the handover of management, preservation, protection and effective exploitation of the project.

The Chairman of Ninh Thuan province requested the People's Committees of Ninh Hai and Thuan Bac districts to strengthen the management of land and construction order; proactively review planning orientations to develop plans to effectively exploit land funds along both sides of the road to ensure efficiency and promote local socio-economic development.

On December 10, 2020, the People's Council of Ninh Thuan province passed a resolution approving the investment policy of the Northern Ring Road Project of Ninh Thuan province (section from Khanh Nhon pass to National Highway 27).

The project is invested by the Ninh Thuan Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (now the Ninh Thuan Provincial Land Fund Development and Investment Project Management Board). The project has a total length of 27.7 km, a total investment of more than VND 1,248 billion (central capital), and is scheduled to be implemented from 2020 to 2025.

Of which, Component Project 1 of the Road from Khanh Nhon Pass to National Highway 1 has a total investment of 487.64 billion VND, 10.42 km long; Component Project 2 of the Road from National Highway 1 to National Highway 27 has a total investment of more than 761 billion VND, 17.28 km long. However, later, the People's Council of Ninh Thuan province adjusted it to the Northern Belt Road Project of Ninh Thuan province (section from Khanh Nhon Pass to National Highway 1).
