To ensure primary health care for the people, the People's Committee of the commune has completed the commune health station on the basis of receiving, rearranging personnel, facilities and existing health stations.
The commune health station is currently headquartered at the old Phu Xuan commune health station - which has the best facilities and the most convenient location among the merged communes. The remaining 3 health stations (Ea Dăh, Ea Púk and Health Station 49) are maintained in the form of stations, helping people not to have to travel far for medical examination and treatment. Each station has medical staff, ensuring that people far from the center can still receive medical examination and treatment, vaccination, health consultation and basic health services.

Mr. Vi Van Tuong (Muong ethnic group, 63 years old, in Giang Thanh village) shared: “I am old and often sick, so at first I was quite worried about having to move to a center quite far after the merger. However, the old medical stations are still maintained, and the team of doctors and nurses still ensures health care for the people.”
Thanks to this arrangement, people can still receive medical examination and treatment at the nearest medical facility as before. In the first 9 months of 2025, the total number of medical examinations at the Commune Health Station and other stations was 11,790, with 11,652 patients receiving medicine and 4,7427 preventive examinations. Disease prevention and control work was effectively implemented.
The commune has handled 2 dengue fever outbreaks, implemented mosquito larvae eradication campaigns in 46/46 villages; sprayed chemicals to prevent and control malaria in 1,202 households/7 key villages/46 villages, reaching 98%; organized expanded vaccination for 314/420 children under 1 year old, reaching 74% and the rate of pregnant women receiving tetanus vaccination reached 95%. Reproductive health care programs, food hygiene and safety, school health, disease prevention, and malnutrition prevention have all been effectively implemented. In addition, the station coordinated to organize humanitarian medical examination and treatment programs and support people in difficult circumstances in the commune with 1,600 cases being examined and treated.

The commune health station currently has 42 cadres, civil servants and employees. With few human resources, a large workload and scattered facilities, in order to meet work requirements, medical staff always strive to overcome difficulties, uphold a sense of responsibility and wholeheartedly care for patients. Doctor Pham Thi Ha Quyen, Deputy Head of the Phu Xuan Commune Health Station, said: "Many households still have difficulties and are subjective in health care. Therefore, we have to proactively visit each house to examine; at the same time, propagate and mobilize people to implement disease prevention and control measures such as: "eat cooked food, boil water", clean the environment, kill mosquito larvae (wrigglers) ..., especially when sick, they must go to a medical facility for examination, diagnosis and treatment".
According to Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Xuan Commune, Phan Tien Thanh, in the coming time, the commune will continue to invest in the grassroots health system; at the same time, propose to the superiors to supplement quality medical staff to take care of people, especially ethnic minority areas. This is the key foundation to help the government effectively implement sustainable poverty reduction work.
