In the eastern part of the province, where floodwaters have begun to recede, traditional markets have reopened, but most of the food is surplus, stockpiled by traders from the previous days. According to Ms. Le Thi Hong, a trader at Tuy Hoa market, when the water began to rise, traders gathered and moved the goods to higher ground for preservation. After the water receded, the remaining undamaged goods were sold to people living along the roads. They sold as much food as they could; new goods were priced many times higher than usual and the quantity was not much, while people's demand was very high.

Ms. Huynh Thi Truc Ly, Store Manager of Co.op Food Phu Lam Store ( Phu Yen Ward) said: Up to this point, the fresh food items at the store have temporarily run out; there are only frozen foods, food, pre-packaged foods such as instant noodles, vermicelli, rice, milk, drinks... The store has contacted suppliers but all informed that it is difficult to transport them in time because there are not enough vehicles and traffic is congested on the routes. Regarding prices, Co.op Food Phu Lam still ensures to supply people with stable prices, not increasing compared to the time before the flood.
In response to the widespread flooding caused by heavy rains and floods, Co.opmart Tuy Hoa Supermarket and the chain of 14 Co.op Food stores in the Eastern Dak Lak region have activated emergency response plans. Thanks to large warehouse reserves and the continuous maintenance of the generator system, fruits, tubers, frozen foods, and fresh foods still meet distribution needs. As for green vegetables, due to the local growing areas being heavily flooded and trucks from satellite warehouses being stuck at landslide sites, the supply is temporarily interrupted. Co.opmart Tuy Hoa is committed to being ready to support and serve people quickly, not allowing shortages or local price hikes to occur.

Currently, in addition to providing on-site supplies to people, Co.opmart Tuy Hoa Supermarket also maintains and prioritizes the maximum processing of large orders of essential goods; mobilizes specialized vehicles (high-chassis trucks, boats...) to transport goods to flooded and isolated areas, ensuring relief goods reach people.
Mr. Mai Manh Toan, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, informed: The Department of Industry and Trade has requested businesses and supermarkets such as: Saigon - Buon Ma Thuot Trading and Service Company Limited, Espace Business Hue Joint Stock Company Branch in Buon Ma Thuot, Bach Hoa Xanh Trading Joint Stock Company - Dak Lak branch... to support the transfer of essential goods to respond to and overcome the consequences of floods, including bottled drinking water, instant noodles, and other essential goods. Food and foodstuffs brought to the units must be strictly controlled to ensure safety and quality from the beginning.
