Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh province Nguyen Cong Thanh shared that in today's era, when with just one touch of a smart electronic device we can access the whole world , reading books has become more valuable than ever. Amidst the noisy flow of social networks and countless information updated every second, books are still the place to preserve the tranquility, depth and true value of knowledge. The phone can give us countless "spiritual foods" quickly and conveniently, but not all of them have nutritional value for the soul. As for books, whether paper or electronic, they are still "clean energy sources" of intelligence, helping us to calm down, contemplate and mature.
Sharing his story at the discussion "Developing reading culture in the digital age", Nguyen Phu Quy, a 7A4 student at Le Van Thiem Secondary School ( Ha Tinh ) said that each page of a book is a door that helps us open up a new world, a journey of perception, imagination and soul. There, we can meet ourselves, talk with great minds, and learn how to live more deeply and humanely.
Inspiring and spreading the love of books and reading culture in schools, recently, the Ha Tinh education sector has directed schools in the area to regularly organize many practical and meaningful activities such as: the program of 1 good book, 1 beautiful story per week organized during flag salute; activities in the first 15 minutes of class...
In particular, schools have focused on building library spaces and investing in thousands of books in many fields to actively support students' learning and expand their knowledge. "Up to now, educational institutions in the area have strictly implemented the industry's guidelines, contributing to maintaining and spreading the reading culture and training life skills for students in the spirit of educational innovation," said Nguyen Ngoc Le Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Education of Ha Tinh province.
Along with the efforts to nurture and sow the seeds of knowledge and love for the homeland and family, some families and schools in Ha Tinh have built library models in residential areas such as: Hoa Cuong Library of teacher Nguyen Quang Cuong and his wife; Phan Huy family bookshelf, family bookshelf of Professor Nguyen Chuong Thau, Doan Tu Hoan... have maintained operations for many years. Through the libraries, many organizations and individuals have supported family bookshelf with all kinds of books and newspapers on building the homeland, becoming "livable countrysides".

Assessing the importance of reading culture in the digital age, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh province Nguyen Cong Thanh emphasized: In today's era, when with just one touch of a smart electronic device we can access the whole world, reading books becomes more valuable than ever. Amidst the noisy flow of social networks and countless information updated every second, books are still the place to preserve the tranquility, depth and true value of knowledge. The phone can give us countless "spiritual dishes" quickly and conveniently, but not all dishes have nutritional value for the soul. As for books, whether paper or electronic, they are still "clean energy sources" of intelligence, helping us to calm down, contemplate and mature. This is also one of the core contents and destinations to develop reading culture in the digital age, so that electronic devices are not only entertainment tools but also effective means to access knowledge, contributing to helping people of all walks of life, especially students, practice reading habits, improve knowledge in learning, and develop life skills.
