The conference heard 10 presentations by members of the Politburo on important tasks of the 14th National Congress, such as: Some new, core issues and experiences of 40 years of reform in the Party's 14th National Congress documents; the Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party; the report summarizing Party building work during the 13th National Congress term and summarizing 15 years of implementing the Party Charter (2011-2025), directions, tasks, and solutions for Party building work and implementation of the Party Charter during the 14th National Congress term; an assessment of 5 years of implementing the 10-year socio -economic development strategy 2021-2030 and the socio-economic development plan 2026-2030…
Based on that, the Conference unanimously agreed on the main directions, tasks, and solutions across 10 groups of Party building work; at the same time, it emphasized three breakthrough solutions: Firstly, enhancing the capacity for self-renewal and self-improvement to strengthen the effectiveness and efficiency of the Party's leadership and governance; improving the capacity for planning and organizing the implementation of the Party's policies and guidelines; promoting administrative reform within the Party; and effectively implementing the new model of the political system's organizational structure to ensure smooth operation and meet the requirements of national development in the new development stage.
Secondly, we must continue to vigorously innovate personnel work to ensure objectivity, democracy, substance, and effectiveness, especially in the assessment and evaluation of cadres in accordance with the principle of "in and out," "promotion and demotion"; focus on improving the quality of cadres at all levels, especially strategic-level and grassroots-level cadres; strengthen discipline and order, promote decentralization, and ensure tight and effective control of power.
Thirdly, we must focus on the Party's inspection, supervision, and disciplinary work; resolutely and persistently promote the fight against corruption, waste, and negative phenomena.
In his directive speech at the Conference, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the National Assembly needs to strongly promote its supreme legislative and supervisory role, ensuring that all major policies of the Party are promptly, synchronously, and practically institutionalized within the legal system. Each law enacted must truly be capable of paving the way for development, removing obstacles, unlocking resources, and not creating additional procedures or unreasonable compliance costs for citizens and businesses.
On the other hand, the Government and ministries, departments, and localities must shift strongly from the role of "issuing policies" to the role of "organizing the implementation of policies to the end," using substantive development results as a measure of governance capacity. In addition, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations have the responsibility to promote the role of social supervision and criticism, and to mobilize "citizens and businesses to participate in the implementation of resolutions and supervision from the grassroots to the central level." Supervision and criticism must be substantive, focusing on issues of direct concern to the people, bottlenecks in policy implementation, and the specific social impacts of the Resolution…
The General Secretary requested that, immediately after the Conference, each Party committee, each Party organization, each Party member, each agency and unit, especially the head of each organization, must proactively shift from "correct understanding" to "effective implementation"; from "high determination" to "clear results"; and combine "direction and management" with "inspection, supervision, and accountability" in implementing the 10 groups of tasks with specific timelines for implementation and completion...

The gold market continues to experience significant fluctuations, with the price of gold differing from the world price by nearly 22 million VND per ounce.
Last week, the domestic gold market continued to experience significant fluctuations. On the last trading day of the week, the price of gold bars from brands such as SJC, Doji, Bao Tin Manh Hai, PNJ, Phu Quy, etc., all surged by nearly 3 million VND/ounce compared to the previous day, reaching 176.3 – 179.3 million VND/ounce (buying and selling price) and a difference of nearly 22 million VND/ounce compared to the world price. The price of gold rings also increased sharply on the last trading day of the week, reaching approximately 176 - 179 million VND/ounce (buying and selling price), an increase of nearly 3 million VND/ounce.

People choose to buy and sell gold at reputable gold shops and businesses to ensure safety and protect their rights.
On the international market, at the end of last week, the price of gold was traded at $4,966 per ounce, an increase of nearly $100 per ounce compared to the previous session. The world gold price, converted using the listed exchange rate, is approximately VND 156.5 million per tael. According to the Ministry of Finance, domestic gold prices fluctuate in the same direction as world gold prices and have increased by about 8.65% compared to the end of January 2026.
The main reason is the increased flow of investment capital into gold, coupled with continuous net buying by central banks. Domestically, gold prices closely follow global trends, combined with increased demand for hoarding and investment amidst the instability of alternative investment channels, keeping gold prices at a high level with no signs of cooling down. The domestic gold price index is currently up 5.02% compared to the previous month and up 77% compared to the same period last year.
In this context, according to economic experts, investors need to closely monitor domestic and international market developments and limit the purchase of gold based on promissory notes to minimize risks. Contractual commitments on paper may not be fulfilled when businesses face supply difficulties or legal issues, and buyers may not receive the gold as scheduled. Furthermore, if investing in gold at this time, buyers need to develop financial discipline, clearly defining profit-taking and stop-loss points to avoid the situation of "being too greedy to sell, too afraid to cut losses," leading to heavy losses when the market reverses...
