A beautiful European-like photo spot for young people in Thai Binh. Photo: Ha Vi An Lap Parish Church (also known as Hong Giang Church) is a religious building with unique Western architecture, attracting many people to visit and take photos, especially young people. Accordingly, after nearly 100 years, the parish church had deteriorated. On February 10, 2001, the parish rebuilt a new church with dimensions of 60 m long, 20 m wide, 18 m high roof, 38 m high bell tower, total area of 1,200 m2. On January 1, 2004, the new church was inaugurated and is still in use today. The interior space of An Lap Parish Church also has a unique and spacious design, where parishioners often come to read the Bible and pray. Every afternoon, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan (a parishioner of Hong Giang commune, Dong Hung district) comes to the church to read the Bible. Ms. Lan said: “This is a place closely associated with the daily life of our parishioners. Every day, every afternoon I come here to read the Bible. The church is designed with a spacious space, so it is very cool here on summer days.” After more than 20 years of construction, many areas of the Hong Giang Church's exterior wall paint have peeled off and are stained by time. An Lap Parish Church has become a familiar check-in spot for young people in Thai Binh today. Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh (Thai Binh) shared: "I took this photo when I returned to my hometown to celebrate Tet in 2022. As a photography enthusiast, as soon as I learned that An Lap Church had a photo-taking view like Europe, I invited my husband and family to come here to take a set of photos as a souvenir."
