Farmers of the Ancestral Land join hands to build new rural areas

Implementing the movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas" and the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", Farmers' Associations at all levels in the province have promoted their central and core role in mobilizing members to join hands to implement the criteria for building new rural areas and advanced new rural areas, and building livable rural areas.

In line with the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, the Provincial Farmers' Association has developed a plan with specific implementation contents associated with emulation movements and widely deployed among members and farmers. All levels of the Association promote the movement "Farmers compete to build New Rural Construction" associated with the movement "Farmers compete to produce and do business well, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably", "All people unite to build a cultural life"; promote propaganda to raise awareness for members, mobilize members to support funds, contribute labor, contribute efforts, donate land to build works serving life and production.

Actively participating in environmental protection, building a "bright, green, clean, beautiful" new rural environment associated with building a safe and sustainable agriculture , Farmers' Union members in the province have carried out many practical activities such as: Organizing environmental sanitation campaigns, collecting and treating garbage and waste, clearing streams, dredging canals, ditches, ponds, lakes, drainage systems; using safe and effective pesticides in agricultural production; using biosafety measures for crops and livestock...

The model of "Pesticide-free fields" has been effectively implemented by Farmers' Associations at all levels, contributing to protecting the new rural environment to be bright - green - clean - beautiful.

Many good and effective models have been deployed and replicated by HND levels, creating a strong spreading effect such as: Fields without pesticide shells; fields without waste; Green Sunday; 3T (saving, recycling, reusing); self-managed farmer roads; "3 green - 3 clean - 3 beautiful" residential communities (green home gardens, green fences, green village roads); farmers participating in environmental protection; environmentally friendly trash cans... HND members have actively participated in contributing funds, supporting working days, donating land to upgrade traffic routes, cultural institutions; actively implementing criteria for building cultural families, participating in cultural - artistic, physical training - sports activities... contributing to implementing criteria for building new rural areas and advanced new rural areas in localities.

In the period of 2020 - 2025, cadres and farmer members in the province donated more than 269,000 m2 of land; contributed funds and more than 160,000 working days to repair and renew more than 2,470 km of rural roads, nearly 3,400 km of canals with a total value of more than 47 billion VND. Farmers' Associations at all levels actively implemented safe production development models in the direction of organic production, contributing to changing the awareness and production habits of farmer members in the direction of safety and sustainability, creating good quality products, balancing the soil, water and field ecosystems, minimizing environmental pollution and ensuring food safety, bringing higher value than traditional farming.

The movement "Farmers compete in good production and business, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably" has been deployed in conjunction with the movement "Joining hands to build new rural areas" and has actively contributed to implementing the criteria on production organization, economic development, poverty reduction... in building new rural areas in localities. On average, every year, the whole province has about 60% of member households registering for the title of good production and business. Through the movement, farmer members have actively helped each other with capital, seeds, production experience, spreading the spirit of "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves", "the well-off farmers help the poor farmers", "no one is left behind". The Provincial Farmers Support Fund is managing more than 190 billion VND for nearly 4,000 households to borrow; the outstanding debt of the Social Policy Bank has reached more than 5,000 billion VND for nearly 90,000 members to borrow; Outstanding loans from the Rural Development Support Fund reached more than 80 billion VND for more than 1,800 households borrowing capital...

In addition, the Association at all levels has strengthened its links with businesses, guaranteeing the supply of more than 21,000 tons of fertilizer, more than 13,000 tons of animal feed, and 500 agricultural machines to ensure quality and timely delivery, helping to improve productivity and the value of agricultural products. More and more models of safe, high-quality agricultural production, based on exploiting the potential and advantages of land and climate of localities, have been built and replicated by farmer members, contributing to the supply of safe, high-quality products to the market, maintaining the rural environment, and increasing farmers' income.

To promote agricultural and rural development and new rural construction, the Provincial Farmers' Association focuses on promoting the role of farmers as the main subject and core; mobilizing members to compete in labor production, business, association, and cooperation in production according to the value chain to increase product value and food safety quality, access resources, apply scientific and technological advances in production; develop OCOP products according to the value chain; improve the operational efficiency of the collective economy; actively participate in rural environmental protection activities, apply safe agricultural production measures; well implement criteria on environment, income, cultural life...
