Tran Yen commune currently has 3,629 members, accounting for 12.5% of the population. Identifying the movement "Farmers competing in excellent production and business, uniting to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty" as a key task, the commune's Farmers' Association has actively supported its members in accessing effective production and business models and methods. As a result, the movement has received strong support from its members. Many farmers have demonstrated self-reliance, dynamism, and creativity, both increasing their family income and contributing to creating more jobs for local laborers.

A prime example is the mulberry cultivation and silkworm rearing model of Mr. Nguyen Van Ha's family in Lan Dinh village. With many years of experience and participation in technical training courses organized by the commune's Farmers' Association, Mr. Ha boldly invested in expanding production. To date, his family cultivates 2 acres of mulberry trees, maintaining over 10 silkworm trays per cycle, yielding approximately 2 tons of cocoons annually, bringing in an income of about 400 million VND. Mr. Nguyen Van Ha is currently one of the exemplary members in developing agricultural production models in the locality.
Mr. Nguyen Van Ha shared: "Responding to the movement 'Farmers competing in excellent production and business, uniting to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty,' we have always wholeheartedly supported each other in developing the economy in a sustainable direction. Farmers' association members regularly exchange experiences, support each other with seedlings and livestock, and form production linkages. From there, we have established a cooperative to process products from mulberry trees, such as mulberry wine, scarves, silk socks… contributing to increasing the value of products and bringing stable and effective income to households."

Following Mr. Ha's model, the entire Tran Yen commune currently has 1,262 farmer households registered to participate in the movement "Farmers competing in excellent production and business, uniting to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty". Through evaluation, 1,136 households achieved the title of excellent producers and business operators at various levels, reaching 90% of the set plan. Notably, 185 exemplary households have actively supported disadvantaged farmers with seedlings, livestock, supplies, technical assistance, and funding.
Alongside the emulation movement, the Farmers' Association of Tran Yen commune has also effectively managed and implemented the Farmers' Support Fund. Currently, the Association is implementing 4 projects with 30 borrowing households, with a total outstanding loan balance of 1.5 billion VND. In addition, the association also cooperates with banks to provide credit guarantees for members to borrow capital, creating favorable conditions for farmers to expand production and develop their family economies in a more sustainable and efficient manner.

Ms. Vu Thi Tuyen, from Lang Qua village, said: “Previously, my family had 2 hectares of cinnamon trees, cultivated with our own accumulated capital. Because we had to replant in batches, the harvest was small and the economic efficiency was not high. Thanks to participating in the commune's 'Cinnamon and Mulberry Cultivation for Silkworm Rearing' project, in 2025, my family was able to borrow 70 million VND from the Farmers' Support Fund to develop an additional 1 hectare of cinnamon. This new area promises to bring a stable and significant income to the family.”
In addition, the Farmers' Association of the commune proactively guides and supports farmers in building collective economic models, associations, and professional branches. Trade promotion and marketing efforts are also intensified through the "Safe Agricultural Products Store" system, OCOP products, products from mulberry, cinnamon, tea, medicinal herbs, etc., participating in agricultural and trade fairs and connecting with consumers at shopping centers and supermarkets through the FFF program, as well as other programs of the commune and province.
At the same time, the Farmers' Association of the commune intensified promotion on social media platforms such as Zalo and Facebook; supported 5 households in bringing their products to e-commerce platforms; and regularly updated market information and agricultural product prices, helping farmers to promptly orient their production and consumption more effectively.

Currently, the commune has 48 cooperatives, 71 cooperative groups, and 35 economic development projects being implemented effectively, creating jobs and increasing income for the people. As a result, agricultural production continues to thrive: the mulberry cultivation and silkworm farming area covers over 712 hectares, with a silkworm cocoon production of 1,188 tons. The production linkage model along the value chain is maintained stably, ensuring the consumption of all silkworm cocoon products in the commune.
The entire Tran Yen commune has over 6,048 hectares of cinnamon plantations, including 3,250 hectares of organic cinnamon meeting national and international standards; 251.6 hectares of fruit trees, 45.7 hectares of tea plantations; 55.8 hectares of medicinal plants; 101.6 hectares of aquaculture and over 40 fish cages; 208 livestock and poultry farms, including 145 poultry farms with a scale of 1,000 birds per batch. Many large-scale poultry farming models are integrated, notably the commercial chicken farming model of the MQ Cooperative with a scale of 40,000 birds per batch, and integrated farms with a scale of over 80,000 birds per batch. The entire commune has 16 OCOP products that meet standards of 3 stars or higher, including 3 products that meet 4-star standards, contributing to raising the average income of people in the commune to 68.6 million VND/person/year.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Nga, Chairwoman of the Farmers' Association of Tran Yen commune, said: "In the coming time, the Farmers' Association of the commune will continue to innovate the content and methods and improve the quality and effectiveness of its activities, focusing on guiding farmer members to develop effective production and economic models, and develop businesses in agriculture. In particular, we will focus on replicating models of mulberry cultivation and silkworm rearing; cinnamon cultivation according to organic standards; organic medicinal tea production, etc."
Through efforts to support member farmers in accessing capital, applying modern science and technology, expanding consumer markets, improving the quality of OCOP products, promoting green agriculture, circular agriculture, and digital technology solutions, the program aims to shift the agricultural economic structure towards sustainability; developing concentrated commodity production areas will contribute to improving production efficiency, increasing income, and improving people's lives in a stable and long-term manner.
