Regenerative Agriculture – The journey against desertification from Vietnam to the world

At the “Inspirational Talk: Disruptive Technology of the Future” held on the morning of December 2, Enfarm, an agricultural technology company from Vietnam, will share how artificial intelligence (AI) is turning agriculture into a regenerative subject for the earth.

 

In fact, land degradation and desertification are becoming one of the biggest challenges threatening global food security and the environment. With the desire to contribute to the solution to this problem, Mr. Nguyen Do Dung, Co-founder and CEO of Enfarm, has developed regenerative agricultural solutions, aiming for a sustainable production model that respects nature.

Specifically, the Enfarm platform has applied AI and IoT to help farmers optimize inputs in production and minimize environmental impact. Enfarm is a pioneer in developing laboratory-accurate soil sensors at reasonable costs, helping to measure nutritional status right in the field, combined with AI chatbots that provide specific treatment instructions for each farm.  

Starting from the fields of Vietnam, the solution of Mr. Dung and his colleagues not only helps improve soil health but also expands the model to many areas with harsh farming conditions, especially in Africa - where local communities are facing serious desertification. These initiatives have been recognized by the international scientific community, with many prestigious awards, including being honored in innovation rankings.

At VinFuture 2025 Science and Technology Week, Enfarm will share how artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming agriculture into a regenerative force for the planet. Through two innovative SaaS platforms – Enfarm App and Enfarm FM – the company has created opportunities for both farmers and businesses to make smarter, more sustainable choices.

The Enfarm App helps smallholder farmers monitor soil health, optimize fertilizer use, and improve yields with personalized AI recommendations, increasing yields by up to 30% while also reducing fertilizer use by up to 30%. This not only reduces costs and emissions, but also helps farmers meet sustainability standards, earning certifications based on fair trade and responsible production.

Meanwhile, Enfarm FM provides agribusinesses with a powerful set of tools to manage their sourcing areas, monitor performance, and transparently report ESG metrics. By connecting data from farm to business, Enfarm is building a trusted digital ecosystem that supports climate resilience and drives regenerative growth.

The event "Inspirational Speech: Breakthrough Technology of the Future" will open the series of activities in the VinFuture 2025 Science and Technology Week taking place on the morning of December 2 in Hanoi. Four speeches from international scientists revolve around urgent areas of humanity: elderly health care, new generation robots, cardiovascular medicine and food security.
