Agriculture and Environment of Tuyen Quang - 80 years of innovation and development

On November 14, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tuyen Quang province held a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Agriculture and Environment Sector (November 14, 1945 - November 14, 2025).

Since the Agricultural Department in 1946, the Tuyen Quang Agriculture and Environment sector has continuously innovated, grown and achieved many important milestones. The average growth rate reached 4.88%/year; food output reached 750,000 tons/year; forest coverage rate remained over 62%, among the highest in the country.

The whole province currently has 454 OCOP products with 3 stars or higher; the rate of first-time land use right certificates is over 90% of the area required; the rate of collection and treatment of urban solid waste is over 95%, with no serious environmental incidents occurring.

Mr. Pham Manh Duyet, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tuyen Quang province, said that promoting the tradition of 80 years of construction and development, the industry continues to perfect mechanisms and policies to encourage the development of agricultural and forestry products suitable to local conditions; promote production linkages and product consumption.

The industry also promotes the application of science and technology, digital transformation in agriculture and the environment; expands the area of ​​FSC-certified forests; effectively implements the project "Building Tuyen Quang into a high-tech forestry area and a center for wood production and processing"; promotes circular economy , green growth associated with sustainable environmental protection.

In his speech, Mr. Hoang Gia Long, Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that in the coming period, the Department of Agriculture and Environment needs to strictly implement policies on restructuring and streamlining the apparatus; developing science and technology, digital transformation; operating the apparatus effectively and efficiently; accompanying the province to overcome difficulties, contributing to completing the goals and resolutions of the Central and the province.

The sector continues to innovate its thinking on agricultural development, shifting strongly from small-scale production to large-scale, concentrated commodity production. At the same time, it strengthens resource management and environmental protection; strictly controls waste sources, exploits resources in conjunction with nature conservation; improves the efficiency of land, water, and mineral use; develops green economy and circular economy, towards the province's sustainable development goals.

On this occasion, the Minister of Agriculture and Environment awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 collectives and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in patriotic emulation movements in the period of 2021-2025. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 collective and 7 individuals for their many contributions to the construction and development of the industry. The Department of Agriculture and Environment of the province also awarded Certificates of Merit to 7 collectives and 104 outstanding individuals.
