With the theme "Connecting for Prosperity - Welcoming a Glorious Spring," the first Spring Fair in 2026 will take place from February 2nd to 13th in Dong Anh commune, Hanoi city, with an exhibition area of approximately 100,000 m² indoors and over 45,000 m² outdoors; it is expected to feature around 3,000 standard booths, along with many cultural, culinary , and experiential spaces to serve local people and tourists.

Amidst 3,000 bustling stalls, the Son La province booth stands out like a vibrant painting reflecting the essence of the Northwest mountainous region. Spanning over 200 square meters, the booth is designed to reflect the cultural space of the Mong ethnic group, highlighted by the colors of plum blossoms, mustard flowers, and cherry blossoms, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the spring atmosphere of the Northwest. Publications, images, and videos showcasing Son La's scenic spots and traditional festivals are cleverly integrated, transforming the booth into an attractive tourist information hub.

Ms. Le Thi Hong Anh, Director of the Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, said: Participating in this fair, Son La province has selected exemplary businesses and cooperatives, bringing nearly 100 characteristic products. Through the fair, Son La province aims to further affirm the quality, value and brand of Son La agricultural products; spread the image of a region producing commercial agricultural products, applying science and technology, linked with processing and markets; introduce a transparent investment environment, accompanying businesses, contributing to enhancing the confidence of consumers, partners and domestic and international investors.

Stopping at the Son La province booth for sightseeing and shopping, we observed that consumers were very interested in the stalls displaying fresh, seasonal fruits and processed products. Baskets of golden oranges and tangerines; boxes of ripe, juicy strawberries; along with smoked meats, chili sauce, honey, and various organic vegetables and fruits… were constantly inquired about and purchased by locals and tourists alike.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Dung from Quang Ninh province said: "I've heard about the safe agricultural products and food in Son La for a long time, so when this fair was held, I came to visit and shop. I was very impressed with the clean fruits and dried products, so I bought quite a lot, both for my family to use during Tet and as gifts for relatives. I also hope that Son La's agricultural products will be available more in supermarkets and food stores so that we can have the opportunity to use them regularly."

The exhibition and direct customer experience at the fair are expected to contribute to product promotion, partner networking, and market expansion, especially during Tet (Lunar New Year), a time when the demand for gifts and tea consumption is high.

The Son La booth at the 2026 Spring Fair showcased high-quality agricultural products while recreating a cultural space rich in the unique identity of the Mong ethnic group. Locals and tourists could directly experience cultural activities such as cultural exchanges, traditional dances, pao throwing, rice cake pounding, and embroidery on ethnic costumes. This contributed to honoring cultural identity, increasing the attractiveness of the fair, and providing people with a complete experience alongside shopping.

Amidst the vibrant musical atmosphere, the sight of Hmong boys and girls in their colorful traditional costumes, accompanied by the resounding sounds of the Hmong flute and reed pipe, attracted a large number of tourists to visit and experience the culture. Mr. Vang A Sia, from Pa Khen 3 residential group, Thao Nguyen ward, said: "Through the tha khenh dances, the sound of the flute, and the traditional dances, we hope to bring Son La culture closer to the people of Hanoi and tourists, thereby introducing the spiritual life and customs of the Hmong people, and at the same time inviting tourists to visit Moc Chau plateau and Son La province."

Besides displaying agricultural products, we also got to watch a performance of the Hmong flute, participate in pounding sticky rice cakes, and take photos with peach blossoms, mustard flowers, and plum blossoms. The cultural space was authentically recreated, helping us to better appreciate the hospitality of the people of Son La."
