Revolving around playing for Nam Dinh Club, Xuan Son is eligible to play for the team from Thanh Nam, when coach Nguyen Trung Kien's team meets Long An on November 23.

However, Xuan Son cannot play for Nam Dinh in V-League. The reason is that Nam Dinh only registered Xuan Son in phase 2 of V-League 2025-2026. The registration period of phase 2 starts from January 25, 2026. From that time, when Nam Dinh Club registers Xuan Son, this naturalized player is eligible to play in V-League.

According to the schedule, round 12 of V-League 2025-2026 will take place on January 30, 2026. Thus, Son will play from round 12, instead of round 11 as previously reported. Xuan Son's return is very meaningful to Nam Dinh. The team from Thanh Nam currently does not have good results in V-League this season. The home team at Thien Truong Stadium is ranked 8th with only 9 points after 9 rounds. Nam Dinh's attack has only scored 9 goals.
