Meritorious Artist Le Trung Thao plays the role of Le Van Duyet, Meritorious Artist My Hang plays the role of the wife of General Le Van Duyet
Choosing to perform a "study-while-working" graduation opera after 4 years of hard work at the University of Theatre and Cinema in Ho Chi Minh City, Meritorious Artist My Hang was given all the conditions by Tran Huu Trang Opera House to have her opera presented to the audience right on the occasion of the whole country celebrating Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20).
Emotionally expressing her gratitude, Meritorious Artist My Hang said that without the guidance and support of her teachers, she would not have been able to have a graduation report and perform a work that she was passionate about.
Meritorious Artist My Hang presented flowers to express respect and gratitude to teachers: People's Artist Tran Minh Ngoc, Associate Professor - Dr. Tran Yen Chi and People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau on Vietnamese Teachers' Day.
"Le Cong Ky An" was written by Meritorious Artist Huu Danh, adapted by author Pham Van Dang, and retold by Meritorious Artist My Hang with respect for the teachers who taught her valuable lessons in the directing profession.
Originally a talented actress, having been taught by People's Artist Phung Ha, and later guided by People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau and playwright Hoang Song Viet, Meritorious Artist My Hang has made much progress in her career. She applied many lessons on staging techniques to her first work and found deep sympathy from audiences who love the cai luong stage.

The play praises the famous general who is considered by history to be a loyal hero of the Nguyen Dynasty, that is Ta Quan Le Van Duyet. He was the Governor of Gia Dinh citadel (1813-1815 and 1820-1832), always taking care of the people's lives, eliminating corrupt officials who oppressed the innocent. The case involved the king's father-in-law, and the people of the South respected him wholeheartedly and called him "Le Cong".

The play was warmly cheered by the audience through each performance, especially the intelligent exchanges between General Le Van Duyet when judging Deputy General Huynh Cong Ly - father-in-law of King Minh Mang.

The play "Le Cong Ky An" staged by Meritorious Artist My Hang brought to the audience admiration for the spirit of loyalty and patriotism, bravery in confronting corrupt officials of the left general Le Van Duyet. His famous saying when reporting to King Minh Mang: "Fighting corruption is like fighting termites, you must fight from the roof down. Corrupt officials are like termites, the bigger the swarm, the more they will burrow, if not eradicated from the root, the house will collapse, at that time even if Your Majesty and the courtiers want to support them, they will not be able to support them!".
The play "Le Cong Ky An" has the participation of actors: Meritorious Artist My Hang, Meritorious Artist Le Trung Thao, Meritorious Artist Le Hong Tham; artists Vo Minh Lam, Hoai Nam, Ly Thu, Hoang Hai, Hien Linh, Truc Phuong, Trong Hieu, Hoang Chuong, Chi Dung, Diep Duy, and a number of young actors from the University of Theatre and Cinema, Ho Chi Minh City.
