NTO - Conference to promote and connect supply

On July 30, in Ca Mau City, Ca Mau Province, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ninh Thuan Province coordinated with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ca Mau Province to organize a conference to promote and connect supply and demand of Ninh Thuan shrimp seed in Ca Mau. Attending were leaders of departments, branches, and related units of the two provinces and more than 100 shrimp seed production enterprises of Ninh Thuan Province and partners of Ninh Thuan shrimp seed enterprises in Ca Mau.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, the leader of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ninh Thuan province said: With the goal of building Ninh Thuan into a center for high-quality shrimp seed production in the country, in recent times, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, and the provincial Department of Agriculture have paid attention to directing and focusing all resources on investing and developing shrimp seed production activities in the province.

Ninh Thuan's annual shrimp seed output reaches more than 40 billion; of which, in 2023 it will reach 41 billion, in 2024 it is expected to reach 43 billion and by 2025 the output will reach 50 billion; striving to reach 60 billion by 2030, meeting about 30-40% of the country's shrimp seed demand. With more than 30 years of existence and development, the shrimp seed production profession in Ninh Thuan has attracted the attention of many leading corporations and enterprises in the field of shrimp seed production at home and abroad, achieving many great successes in terms of scale, number of production facilities, output and quality of shrimp seeds; the brand "Ninh Thuan shrimp seeds" is highly appreciated by the domestic market for both output and quality; the certification mark "Ninh Thuan shrimp seeds" is granted a trademark certificate by the Department of Intellectual Property and currently, Ninh Thuan is considered the largest shrimp seed production center in the country.

At the conference, delegates discussed, shared and made recommendations on the advantages and difficulties in accessing seed sources and organizing production, disease management, quality and safety inspection of seed..., thereby proposing many solutions in cooperation to effectively promote, maximize potential and strengths, create momentum to promote socio -economic growth of the two provinces; strive to effectively implement the Vietnam Fisheries Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

The units signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation and connection in trade and consumption of shrimp seeds.

On this occasion, the units signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation and trade connection between shrimp seed production and supply units in Ninh Thuan province and shrimp seed consumption units in Ca Mau province, in order to contribute to the effective implementation of the Coordination Regulation No. 05/QCPH dated April 17, 2024 between the Department of Fisheries and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the provinces/cities under the Central Government in brackish water shrimp seed management, ensuring the connection between shrimp seed production enterprises and shrimp farming facilities in Ca Mau.
