While committing a theft at Pho Chau market, Huong Son district (Ha Tinh), Nguyen Thi Hong (born in 1960, residing in Dong Hoi city, Quang Binh ) was caught red-handed by the market security force.
Nguyen Thi Hong was arrested at Pho Chau market.
According to Ms. Tran Thi Loan (a merchant at Pho Chau market, a victim of pickpocketing): “At around 8am on June 9, a woman came to buy vegetables from me, took advantage of the moment when I was not paying attention and reached into my pocket to steal money. Panicked, I immediately shouted to let everyone know, accordingly, the Pho Chau market management board promptly controlled and arrested the subject.”
After capturing the subject, Pho Chau Market Management Board proceeded to work and take statements. Through the struggle, the subject confessed her name was Nguyen Thi Hong (born in 1960, residing in Dong Hoi City, Quang Binh Province).
It is known that before that, Ms. Ho Thi Xuan, a betel nut vendor, also had 16 million VND stolen. Retrieved from the market's security camera, the image correctly identified the subject Nguyen Thi Hong.
Currently, the case is being transferred to Huong Son District Police for further investigation.
