According to information from the Doan Hung District Police Department, Phu Tho Province, at around 4:15 p.m. on November 29, 2023, the Doan Hung District Police Department on duty received information from Tran Thu Thuy, born in 2006, residing in Phuong Hung 2 area, Chi Dam commune, Doan Hung district (Currently a student in class 12A1, Doan Hung High School, Doan Hung district) with the content of the incident: On the way home from school, student Tran Thu Thuy picked up a stack of money, including 50 bills worth 200,000 VND and 59 bills worth 500,000 VND, with a total value of 39,500,000 VND (Thirty-nine million five hundred thousand VND). Immediately after picking up the money, student Tran Thu Thuy quickly went to the Doan Hung District Police Department headquarters to report and hand over the money to the police.
At 8:00 p.m. on the same day, Mr. Nguyen Quyet Thang, born in 1991, residing in Tay Mo 2 area, Phu Lam commune, Doan Hung district, went to the district police to report that on the way to work from home to Hung Vuong General Hospital, he lost 39,500,000 VND. After receiving the above information, Doan Hung district police conducted a review, verification and determined that the money that Thuy picked up was lost by Mr. Thang. By 4:00 p.m. on December 2, 2023, the entire amount of money was returned to Mr. Thang by Doan Hung district police and Tran Thu Thuy.
Teacher Nguyen Manh Ha - Vice Principal, Chairman of the Trade Union of Doan Hung High School said that after receiving information about the meaningful work of student Tran Thu Thuy, to create a positive spread throughout the school and the community, at the Flag-Salute Ceremony on the morning of December 4, 2023, Doan Hung High School organized a ceremony to commend, award and present a Certificate of Merit to the typical example in the emulation movement "Good People - Good Deeds" for Tran Thu Thuy.
According to teacher Nguyen Manh Ha, Tran Thu Thuy is a student in class 12A1, a high-quality class at Doan Hung High School. In the past two school years and up to the first semester of the 2023-2024 school year, Tran Thu Thuy is a female student with good moral qualities, always active in emulation movements organized by the School Youth Union and the school. At the same time, Thuy always strives to study and practice well and has achieved the title of excellent student for 2 years.
Sharing about the above action, Tran Thu Thuy said, when she picked up the above amount of money, she knew that the person who lost it had a hard time getting it and needed it to solve a problem. If it was not her but any student of Doan Hung High School in particular and students of schools in Doan Hung in general, they would definitely want to report to the police to find the person to return it.
The example of female student Tran Thu Thuy picking up lost money and returning it to the owner is a good example in schools and society. That action needs to be replicated and spread. That is also the orientation of moraleducation , personality, and life skills of Doan Hung High School in particular and Phu Tho Education sector in general in recent school years./.
