
Hang's national second prize winning topic is: "Research on the current situation and propose solutions to improve the effectiveness of health and personal hygiene education for Ruc ethnic children in Quang Binh province".
In 2021, Cao Thi Le Hang became the first female Ruc student to be admitted to university, studying preschool education class K64, Quang Binh University. Not only striving to study, Hang was recently admitted to the Party, becoming a typical example of the spirit of overcoming difficulties and rising up of ethnic minority students in Quang Binh province (old).
In October 2022, student Cao Thi Le Hang was given a motorbike and a laptop by the Viet Seed Fund - Nhan Dan Newspaper to support her studies.
Not only is Hang a good student and diligent person, she is also always concerned with the spirit of contributing to the community. Therefore, she and her group of friends chose a research topic to find ways to support Ruc children to improve their lives.
As the project leader and research team leader, Cao Thi Le Hang and members Nguyen Thi Cam Nhung, Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy and Ngo Thi Hoai An, under the guidance of Dr. Pham Thi Yen, conducted the survey, collected data and proposed highly applicable solutions to improve health and personal hygiene for children in the Ruc community in Thuong Hoa commune, Minh Hoa district, former Quang Binh province, now Kim Phu commune, Quang Tri province.
"I want the topic to not only stay on paper but also help children in my village to be healthier and more confident when going to school," future teacher Cao Thi Le Hang shared.
According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, the topic of the group of students from Quang Binh University, with a female student of the Ruc ethnic group as the group leader, is one of the bright spots, demonstrating the spirit of scientific research associated with community practice, especially in the field of education and school health for ethnic minority children.
The National Student Science and Technology Award attracted 628 entries from 112 universities across the country, divided into 6 research fields. As a result, 530 entries were awarded, including 20 first prizes, 105 second prizes…
