The final round was organized in the form of an academic camp in Ho Chi Minh City, with contestants combining research, practice, experimentation and debate. They participated in a series of science and technology experiences at aviation academies, innovation centers, and STEAM classroom systems of co-organizing units.
The topics that the organizers put forward for this year's final round are green STEAM skills; renewable energy; and climate change adaptation.
According to the rules of the final round, each team will choose 2 topics in order of priority from the topics required by the organizing committee, analyzing the reasons for the choice.
After the organizers agree on the theme of each team, each team will conduct research/project according to the following steps: write an article describing the project idea in 1,500 words, clearly stating the goals, implementation solutions, feasibility; make a model/ video /or image to illustrate the idea, showing the creativity and application of the project. The important and attractive part of the final night is to present the STEAM project to the judges and answer questions.

Promoting gender equality so that more female students are confident in taking interest in STEAM
"Green STEAM for Girls" is co-organized by the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences (Ministry of Education and Training) in collaboration with UNICEF Vietnam and the Victoria School Education System. For female students aged 12-15 studying in secondary schools nationwide, the projects of the participating female students revolve around renewable energy, green skills and climate change adaptation models. First launched in 2024, the competition spread throughout the educational community with the participation of female students from many provinces and cities across the country, along with representatives from Thailand and Malaysia.
According to UNICEF, the increasingly severe impacts of climate change require urgent action to protect children’s futures. While opportunities for girls in science and technology have expanded, many barriers still exist that prevent them from pursuing their passions and reaching their potential.

Prof. Dr. Le Anh Vinh, Director of the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences (Ministry of Education and Training), Head of the organizing committee of the contest, said that "Green STEAM for girls 2025" is not only a creative academic playground but also plays an important role in promoting the interest of girls in the field of STEAM. Through the opportunity to access science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics early, the organizing committee hopes to inspire girls to confidently explore their potential, develop their creativity, and boldly pursue fields with great potential.
Not only do they get to demonstrate their creativity and cooperation through projects related to life such as the environment and climate change, but through the competition, female students are also trained in critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and community connection.
"The contest is an environment to nurture passion for science and creative thinking for female students, while contributing to forming a future workforce with technological capacity and a sense of responsibility to join hands in developing the country," said Professor Le Anh Vinh.
