Lina Chhoeung, 28, is a veteran taekwondo athlete from Cambodia. She participated in the 27th SEA Games in Myanmar in 2013 and won a bronze medal. After the 29th SEA Games, she decided to put her career on hold to focus on her studies.
The Cambodian girl studied Pharmacy at university in Vietnam. She has lived and studied in Ho Chi Minh City for the past 5 years. Lina Chhoeung is fluent in Vietnamese. In her graduation speech, she spoke in Vietnamese.
After completing her studies in Vietnam, Lina Chhoeung returned to Cambodia to train and compete in the 32nd SEA Games. This was the last tournament this taekwondo athlete competed in her career.
Before the 32nd SEA Games, Lina Chhoeung had a training trip to South Korea. Sharing with Khmertimeskh, she said: "This is the first SEA Games I have competed at home. I have a lot of emotions, excitement, nervousness and anxiety."
