In the first half of 2025, Vinh Long's budget revenue reached 19,583 billion VND.

Budget collection of Vinh Long province achieved positive results, exceeding the average progress of the assigned estimate and increasing significantly compared to the same period last year.

According to the Report of the People's Committee of Vinh Long province, in the first 6 months of 2025, the province's economic situation achieved some positive results; economic growth, industrial and agricultural production, total retail sales of goods, tourism service revenue, and import and export of goods all increased quite well.

The province has promptly and promptly resolved many difficulties and obstacles in implementing socio-economic tasks and investment in production and business. Thereby, economic growth (GRDP) reached 7.49%, increasing in all three sectors of agriculture , industry and services.

Specifically, in agricultural production, the agricultural sector promptly implemented measures to prevent diseases and adapt to unusual weather developments, especially the control and prevention of drought and salinity.

Since the beginning of the year, 52 new OCOP products have been recognized; to date, the province has 1,006 products certified as OCOP (826 products with 3 stars; 164 products with 4 stars; 6 potential 5-star products; 10 products with 5 stars).

Regarding industrial production, enterprises and production establishments have boosted production since the beginning of the year; traditional industrial production activities have continued to expand and a number of new industries and fields have been put into operation, contributing to creating new growth momentum for the province's industry to achieve the set growth target. Thereby, industrial production has continued to grow well, the index of industrial production (IIP) for the whole industry in the first 6 months of the year increased by 13.6%.

Infrastructure of industrial zones and clusters continues to receive attention and direction to attract investment for development. Up to now, the province has established 10 industrial zones with a total natural land area of nearly 2,622 hectares and 1 economic zone with a scale of 39,030 hectares (of which, 6 industrial zones and 1 economic zone have been put into operation). Industrial zones, clusters and economic zones have attracted 219 secondary investment projects with a total registered investment capital of VND84,127 billion and more than USD4 billion.

Regarding trade, services and tourism, the province has organized many trade promotion activities, connecting trade, stimulating consumption, supporting businesses and cooperatives to meet, exchange, introduce products, expand distribution and consumption channels... Thereby, the total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in the first 6 months of this year reached 111,641 billion VND. The export value in the first 6 months reached 1.799 billion USD, mainly exported to the markets of the United States, China, Korea, Thailand, Germany, Australia... with export products from coconut, frozen shrimp, electric transmission systems used in cars, finished shoes, garment products...

Tourism activities achieved many positive results, with total visitors and revenue increasing compared to the same period last year. Accordingly, the total number of tourists in the first 6 months of 2025 reached over 5.05 million, including 676,558 international visitors, with total service revenue reaching 4,088 billion VND.

The province has implemented many activities to promote investment, trade, tourism and some other fields with partners such as India, Japan, EU...; thereby, newly granted investment policies for 20 domestic investment projects with a total registered capital of 6,061 billion VND and 5 projects with foreign direct investment capital with a total registered capital of 14.48 million USD.

In particular, the province's budget revenue achieved positive results, exceeding the average progress of the assigned estimate and increasing significantly compared to the same period last year. Total budget revenue reached 19,583 billion VND; of which domestic revenue reached 11,194 billion VND, revenue from import-export activities reached 908 billion VND...
