Host country Thailand has made great efforts to overcome difficulties to organize the 33rd SEA Games.

“Although the host country is experiencing many difficulties such as natural disasters and is in state mourning for Queen Mother Sirikit... you have made great efforts to organize the 33rd SEA Games... Therefore, the responsibility of the delegations in particular and the responsibility of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation in general is to contribute with the Organizing Committee of the Games to successfully organize the 33rd SEA Games”, Head of delegation Nguyen Hong Minh emphasized.

Regarding the Vietnamese Sports Delegation participating in the 33rd SEA Games, Head of the Delegation Nguyen Hong Minh said that in addition to the doctors serving the football team, this time the delegation includes 19 doctors from the Vietnam Sports Hospital, national sports training and coaching centers. This is the force responsible for health care, injury recovery and physical fitness for athletes during the competition in Thailand.

“This is a huge and difficult workload for the medical staff. We hope that in the coming time, with the State's attention to policies and regimes, the sports medical staff will improve. From there, the team of sports medical staff will develop, helping us catch up with the professional level of countries in the region, moving closer to the Asian Games and Olympic arenas.”

Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh also said that Vietnamese sports - including some sports participating in the SEA Games - have applied science and technology, including the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in competition planning, tactical analysis and implementation.

“Especially football teams and some other sports teams. Currently, we are also cooperating with domestic companies to apply AI technology to serve training, and will apply it to all sports teams when participating in training and competition.”

Head of the delegation Nguyen Hong Minh expressed his hope that competing and rubbing shoulders with strong opponents in the region - especially athletes from Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, sports that have reached world-class level in some sports - will become a driving force for Vietnamese athletes to strive, improve their professional level, gradually shorten the gap and aim for higher achievements at the ASIAD and Olympics.

The sharing of Head of Delegation Nguyen Hong Minh shows the determination of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation not only towards competition achievements, but also in a broader context: accompanying the host country to overcome difficulties to successfully organize the 33rd SEA Games, while taking advantage of opportunities to compete, innovate and apply technology to raise the level of the country's sports on the journey of deep integration with the region and the world.
