OCB affirms its position as a transparent and sustainable bank with a series of prestigious awards.

In the context of a constantly fluctuating market and increasingly stringent governance standards in the financial industry, Orient Commercial Bank (OCB) has once again demonstrated its outstanding position by consistently being honored with prestigious awards, becoming the only bank to be recognized for "Outstanding Progress in Corporate Governance" at VLCA 2025 and among the Top 10 Sustainable Enterprises in Vietnam (CSI 2025).

At the Vietnam Listed Company Awards (VLCA) 2025 ceremony,OCB outstandingly surpassed more than 500 listed companies on both exchanges to reach the Top 50 in all three categories: Annual Report, Corporate Governance, and Sustainable Development Report, becoming the only bank to receive the "Outstanding Progress in Corporate Governance" award in the mid-cap group.

The selection committee highly appreciated OCB's strategic shift from a "governance for compliance" model to a "governance for value creation" model. This is demonstrated through a series of improvements in the governance system such as: early release of meeting documents and important information to give shareholders sufficient time to access them; implementation of shareholder consultation before the General Meeting; transparency in the criteria for selecting candidates for the Board of Directors; and upgrading the quality of reports to be coherent, eliminate duplication, and focus on core content.

Notably, 2025 also marks the year when VLCA will update and upgrade its assessment criteria, creating a higher level of challenge for participating businesses. Requirements regarding the independence of the Board of Directors, the operational efficiency of specialized committees, transparency in related-party transactions, and conflict of interest control will be implemented more extensively, forcing businesses to comprehensively improve their structure and operational processes. This demonstrates that VLCA is increasingly approaching advanced assessment models worldwide , while also affirming OCB's superiority in meeting these criteria effectively.

Continuing its double success by becoming one of the Top 10 Sustainable Businesses in Vietnam.

Along with its achievements in governance, OCB continued to receive the Top 10 Sustainable Enterprises in Vietnam – Trade and Services group award at the CSI 2025 Awards Ceremony, within the framework of the program organized by the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI). This is also the second consecutive year that OCB has been honored to be included in the list of highly recognized units by the evaluation council, once again affirming the important progress on the bank's development journey.

The CSI index is known to consist of 7 parts with 145 indicators, divided into two levels: Basic (87 indicators) and Advanced (58 indicators), aiming for a comprehensive assessment of economic, governance, social, and environmental aspects. Notably, compared to previous years, CSI 2025 emphasizes the shift from "compliance" to "innovation" in sustainable development practices, considering this a core long-term competitive advantage for businesses.

Having surpassed nearly 600 businesses and undergone three independent evaluation rounds by a panel of judges from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Ministry of Interior, VIOD, CERED, Deloitte Vietnam, EPRO, OneStep, VNEEC, and the Business Forum Magazine, being ranked among the Top 10 Sustainable Businesses in Vietnam demonstrates that OCB fully meets the stringent requirements, proving the bank's consistent ESG practices over many years and further affirming its strong efforts in integrating this element into its business strategy and its pioneering position in leading green finance in Vietnam.
