Green Design – Starting from sustainable development thinking

The ratio of trees and open spaces in the entire factory area is designed to meet the prescribed standards, contributing to creating a cool microclimate and minimizing the industrial heat effect. On the roofs of the main factories, the natural light panels are arranged synchronously to maximize the use of daylight, reducing the need for electricity. Construction materials are selected according to the criteria of insulation, high durability and environmental friendliness.

Along with that are resource-saving solutions such as rainwater collection, treatment and reuse for cooling systems, watering plants and fire prevention. These are the first bricks in Omoda & Jaecoo's commitment to sustainable green development in Vietnam.

Energy-efficient production – Emission reduction according to international standards

During the operation phase, the entire production line system at the factory will use high-performance equipment with low power consumption, meeting ISO standards on energy management. At the same time, the power, emissions and wastewater monitoring systems are intelligently managed through a smart management platform - allowing for optimal resource consumption and real-time emission control.

The factory is also researching and implementing the integration of rooftop solar power systems to reduce dependence on the grid, while moving towards operating partly on renewable energy. This is the foundation for Omoda & Jaecoo to implement the roadmap towards Net Zero in the long term, not only in Vietnam but also across the global production system.

Job Creation – Human Development – Community Engagement

Not only does it aim at production, the Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam factory is also expected to bring practical values to the local community. The project will create thousands of direct job opportunities in Hung Yen and neighboring provinces, especially in the fields of engineering - technology - logistics.

In the future, Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam plans to cooperate with vocational schools, universities and training institutions to implement workforce recruitment programs for factories, moving towards in-depth training, improving the skills of technicians and engineers in the automotive industry. This is a practical contribution to the development of high-quality human resources in Vietnam - especially in the high-tech manufacturing and supporting industries.

In addition, O&J will continue to implement corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs revolving around the pillars of environmental protection, sustainable education and community support - in line with the brand philosophy "Coming to Vietnam - For Vietnam".

Transparent governance – Long-term investment – Accompanying Vietnam

As the first Chinese car manufacturer to build a factory in Vietnam, Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam demonstrates a long-term and responsible investment strategy, completely different from the simple import or distribution model. All project implementation steps are carried out transparently, in full compliance with Vietnamese laws on investment, planning, construction, environment and labor safety.

During the period of 2025 - 2029, the factory will have a scale of more than 380,000 m², a total investment of more than VND 8,125 billion, a total designed capacity of 120,000 vehicles/year - and will continue to expand in the future. This will be a center for manufacturing high-tech vehicles, from new energy vehicles to PHEV (the world's leading modern Super Hybrid system) and EV (pure electric), serving not only the Vietnamese market but also aiming for export in the ASEAN region and other regions around the world. The factory is expected to come into operation in 2026.

ESG – Not just a standard, but an operating principle

For Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam, ESG is not only a set of global standards for comparison – but also a compass for all development activities in Vietnam. From factory design, operating processes, people, community to long-term strategy – all revolve around three pillars: Environmental – Social – Governance.
