Mr. Do Xuan Trung was appointed Deputy Director of State Bank Region 2.

On November 14, Mr. Vo Minh Tuan - Director of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) Branch Region 2, authorized by the Governor of the SBV, announced and awarded the appointment decision to Mr. Do Xuan Trung to hold the position of Deputy Director of the SBV Branch Region 2. The appointment decision is effective for 5 years, starting from November 15, 2025.

Mr. Do Xuan Trung, the new Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 2 Branch, was born in 1972 and graduated from the Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City. Before being appointed as Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 2 Branch, Mr. Do Xuan Trung had experienced many tasks in banking management activities in Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the announcement and decision-giving ceremony, Mr. Vo Minh Tuan - Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 2 Branch, congratulated the new Deputy Director and said that the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam's appointment of a Deputy Director for the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 2 Branch, demonstrated the close attention of the Board of Directors of the State Bank of Vietnam to the activities of the Regional Bank.

The State Bank of Vietnam, Region 2 Branch, is currently managing and implementing monetary and banking activities in Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai Province, accounting for about 1/3 of the market share of the banking industry nationwide. According to statistics, these two regions account for 29% of the country's GDP, 1/3 of the total budget revenue, and this region has a very large number and scale of credit institutions.

Ho Chi Minh City is also the most vibrant financial market in Vietnam, where there are many opportunities, but also many risks. Types of credit institutions are diverse in scale, ownership form, new models in the banking and finance sector are also applied in the Ho Chi Minh City area...

Mr. Vo Minh Tuan requested that bank managers must comply with legal regulations and shift from a management mindset to a service mindset to support the market and develop local economies as the driving force for the country's economic growth. The head of the State Bank of Vietnam Region 2 also expects new Deputy Director Do Xuan Trung to continue to strive to fulfill his duties in his new position.

Mr. Do Xuan Trung thanked the Board of Directors of the State Bank of Vietnam and the State Bank of Vietnam Branch Region 2 for their trust. Mr. Trung shared that he will continue to strive every day, "not avoiding, not seeking safety", ready to take on difficult tasks, contributing to ensuring the safety of the system in the area and of the banking industry.

The State Bank of Vietnam, Region 2 branch currently has 7 Deputy Directors, including Mr. Do Xuan Trung and Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Lien at the Saigon Ward headquarters, Mr. Vo Dinh Phong (in charge of satellites in Phu Loi Ward), Ms. Lam Thi Hong Ngoc (in charge of satellites in Tam Thang Ward; in Dong Nai Province), Mr. Nguyen Duc Lenh (in charge of satellites in Tran Bien Ward), Mr. Pham Quoc Bao (in charge of satellites in Binh Phuoc Ward). In addition, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thanh - Deputy Director in charge of the duties of Permanent Deputy Head of the SCB Special Control Board.
