The Boggart revolves around Sadie Harper (Sophie Thatcher) and her sister Sawyer (Vivien Lyra Blair) who are going through the pain of losing their mother. However, their father Will (Chris Messina), a professional therapist, cannot be with his children while he is also in pain. This is the door that invites an evil entity to appear, enjoy their suffering and hunt each member of the family.

In the newly released trailer, Sadie and Will initially don't believe Sawyer when she says there's something in her room. They both think the Boggart is just their youngest daughter's imagination until it's too late.
From appearing only dimly in the dark, the monster gradually showed its horror when it was ready to reveal its true form, haunting everyone in their sleep and every step, until this entity completely destroyed the whole family. Even an adult like Will became a victim of the Boggart.

The clever combination of sound, light and creepy images when the monster gradually appears behind the character in the trailer makes viewers terrified. In addition, under the hands of director Rob Savage, combined with screenwriter Mark Heyman of Black Swan (2010) and producer Shawn Levy from the Stranger Things series, promises to bring Mr. Boogeyman an attractive story, many unexpected twists and equally haunting.
The Boogeyman promises to be a new "dish" for movie lovers in general and a movie not to be missed for horror movie fans this summer. The movie opens from June 2nd in theaters nationwide.
