Local cultural identity at spring festivals

These days, all 95 wards and communes in the province are bustling with the atmosphere of celebrating the Party and the Lunar New Year, with vibrant activities reflecting the unique cultural identity of each locality, from urban areas to remote and border regions.

This year, in particular, given the new two-tiered local government model and the challenging economic conditions, the close attention and guidance from provincial leaders, various levels of government, sectors, the business community, and local agencies and units have demonstrated unity and a sense of community responsibility. As a result, the spring festivities and Tet celebrations have been well-maintained and organized.

According to Ms. Hoang Thuy Vu, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc Ward: On the 25th day of the 12th lunar month (February 12, 2026), the ward will inaugurate the Spring Flower Festival, along with a street food festival. Currently, more than 300 stalls with a variety of spring flowers from gardens inside and outside the province are being gathered at the 23-3 Square. On New Year's Eve, the province will organize a New Year's celebration program, and the local authorities have also raised funds to hold a fireworks display at midnight to serve the people. Also during the month of January, Binh Phuoc Ward will hold a Lion Dance competition with the participation of lion dance clubs from inside and outside the province. This competition attracts the attention of locals and tourists with its beautiful and captivating performances.

In 2026, Dong Nai province aims to welcome approximately 5.8 million tourists, an increase of 11.5% compared to 2025. Revenue from tourism services is expected to reach around 4.5 trillion VND, an increase of 15.3% compared to 2025.

An opportunity to explore cultural and spiritual destinations.

Springtime celebrations in various localities throughout the province have attracted a large number of residents and tourists. Having taken an early Tet holiday, starting in early February 2026, Mrs. Tran Thi Vui's family was at their home in Tam Hiep ward preparing for Tet, visiting the flower market, and exploring local spring festivities. Captivated by the ancestral altar decorations and the traditional rice cake-making activities at the ward's Spring Flower Festival, Mrs. Vui shared: “I was very impressed with the ancestral altar decorations displayed by schools in Tam Hiep ward and the model of the Four Sacred Animals made from many kinds of fruits and vegetables, conveying a message of good fortune and reunion at the beginning of the new year. Besides the Tet atmosphere in the ward, my friends and I also visited flower-lined streets and scenic spots such as Ong Pagoda and Tran Bien Temple of Literature to admire the scenery and take souvenir photos.”
