Mr. Nguyen Khac Than was appointed Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Than, Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee, was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.

On the morning of November 11, Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo 's decision on personnel work. Mr. Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee, attended and chaired the conference.

Accordingly, the Politburo decided to transfer and appoint Mr. Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province, to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term XX, 2025 - 2030.

Previously, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung, Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, was mobilized and appointed by the Politburo to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term, and introduced to the City People's Council to elect him as Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Than was born in 1974, in Phu Duc commune, Hung Yen province. Before 2016, Mr. Than was Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quynh Phu district, Secretary of the Quynh Phu district Party Committee, Thai Binh province (old).

In March 2016, Mr. Than held the position of Director of Thai Binh Department of Home Affairs; in July 2019, he held the position of Vice Chairman of Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee.

In 2020, Mr. Than was elected Chairman of Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee; in 2024, he was Secretary of Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee.

From July 1, 2025, after merging Hung Yen and Thai Binh into Hung Yen province, Mr. Than holds the position of Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee.
