Mr. Pham Quang Ngoc was elected Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee.

(Dan Tri) - The People's Council of Hung Yen province elected Mr. Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term with 100% of votes in favor.

The People's Council of Hung Yen province, term XVII, 2021-2026, held its 33rd session on November 12, passed many important resolutions and carried out the procedure for dismissal and election of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

At the meeting, 100% of the delegates present voted unanimously to dismiss Mr. Nguyen Khac Than from the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and to remove him from the position of People's Council delegate due to being transferred and assigned to a new assignment.

Mr. Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, was elected Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term with 100% of the votes in agreement.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Pham Quang Ngoc said that this is a great honor, as well as a responsibility and responsibility before the Party, the State, voters and the people of the province. He affirmed that he will, together with the Provincial People's Committee, perform his duties properly and effectively implement the Party's resolutions and the State's laws.

The new Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that he will focus on promoting the application of science and technology, digital transformation, developing the private economy , marine economy, urban areas and marine services; mobilizing all resources for economic growth associated with sustainable development and ensuring social security.

He also emphasized that developing culture, education , taking care of people's health and protecting the environment are important tasks in the coming time.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the People's Council of Hung Yen province Tran Quoc Van emphasized that the election results demonstrated the solidarity, unity and high trust of the People's Council in the nominated personnel. The Provincial People's Council expects the new Chairman and the Provincial People's Committee to promote the spirit of innovation, dynamism, creativity, and excellently complete the assigned tasks.

Also at the meeting, the People's Council of Hung Yen province passed many important resolutions on policies to support public administrative officials, budget allocation, revenue decentralization and investment incentive policies in the fields of digital transformation, semiconductors, cyber security, electronic components and innovation in the 2025-2030 period.

Mr. Pham Quang Ngoc was born in 1973, from Ninh Binh province. He has a PhD in Animal Husbandry, a Master's degree in Environmental Science, a Bachelor's degree in Biology, and a Senior degree in Political Theory.

He held positions such as Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of the former Yen Khanh district.
