At the meeting, the delegates of the People's Council of Hung Yen province voted to approve the dismissal of Mr. Nguyen Khac Than from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province for the 2021-2026 term (due to transfer to work as Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee).

Mr. Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term, was elected Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term.

In his new position, Mr. Pham Quang Ngoc promised to work with the Party Committee, government and people of Hung Yen province to complete the set major goals: building a dynamic and fast-growing, sustainable economy based on science, technology, innovation, digital transformation; a harmonious society; cultural identity preserved and promoted; and a safe ecological environment.

By 2035, Hung Yen will be a modern industrial province, meeting the criteria of a class I urban area; by 2045, Hung Yen will be a smart, ecological city directly under the Central Government and its people will have a prosperous and happy life.

The new Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province also affirmed that he will promote administrative reform, especially administrative procedure reform, to create a favorable environment and conditions to promote production and business.

In addition, resolutely push back and eliminate negative behaviors, harassment, avoidance and shirking of responsibility in performing public duties. The goal is for every citizen and business to feel and enjoy the benefits from the reform process of the direction and operation of the local government at two levels...
