Xi Jinping was unanimously elected as President of the People's Republic of China (PRC) and Chairman of the Central Military Commission ( CMC ) of the People's Republic of China on March 10 at the ongoing session of the 14th National People's Congress, Xinhua News Agency reported.

This is Xi Jinping's third term as China's president. He becamepresident in 2013 and China abolished term limits in 2018.
In addition, Chinese delegates on March 10 approved a proposal to restructure the State Council, the highest executive body of the country's government .
Also at the meeting, Mr. Han Zheng was elected Vice President of China. Mr. Zhao Leji was elected Chairman of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress of China.
