Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son has just signed a decision appointing the Director of the National Economics University. Accordingly, Associate Professor Bui Duc Tho, Chairman of the National Economics University Council, will hold the position of Director of the University for a term of 5 years.
Associate Professor Bui Duc Tho was born in 1975 in Duc Tho, Ha Tinh province . He graduated from the National Economics University in 1996 and subsequently became a lecturer at the university.
From 1997-1999, he pursued graduate studies at Boise State University (USA), and subsequently completed doctoral research in Public Administration at Kyung Hee University (South Korea).
During his career, he successively held positions as a lecturer, Deputy Head of the Science Management Department, Head of the Science Management Department, Head of the Personnel and Organization Department, Vice Rector, and Deputy Director of the National Economics University. From 2021 to 2025, he served as Chairman of the University Council of the National Economics University.
In addition, Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son also signed a decision appointing Associate Professor Bui Huy Nhuong as Deputy Director of the National Economics University for a term of 5 years.
Professor Nguyen Thanh Hieu will continue to hold the position of Vice Director of the National Economics University until the end of his 5-year term from the date of appointment (2023).
