The new principal is an experienced educational management expert.
According to the decision of the Board of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Kim Hong was appointed as the principal for a period of 1 year (from November 24, 2025 to November 23, 2026).

Teacher Nguyen Kim Hong, born in 1957, from Bac Ninh , is an educational administrator with nearly four decades of experience in teaching, research and university administration.
He received his PhD in geography from Hanoi National University of Education I in 1994 and was recognized as an associate professor in 2003. He has held many important leadership positions at higher education institutions.
From 1978 to June 2017, he worked as a lecturer, then held the positions of deputy head of the geography department, vice principal, and principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.
From January 2020 to December 2021, he was vice principal of Van Hien University.
Mr. Hong is the editor-in-chief of the geography section of history - geography textbooks (grades 6 to 9) and editor-in-chief of geography textbooks (grades 10 to 12) of the Vietnam Education Publishing House, 2018 general education program.
The school has a new principal and vice principal.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Kim Hong was appointed as principal to replace Dr. Tran Ai Cam, whose term as principal ended on November 23.
Previously, Nguyen Tat Thanh University held a ceremony to welcome new personnel in 2025. Here, the University Council presented the decision to appoint the new vice president to Dr. Phan Thi Viet Nam along with the appointment decisions for staff who are unit and department managers.
The current Board of Directors of Nguyen Tat Thanh University includes Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Kim Hong - Principal and Vice Principals: Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Lan Phuong, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Hong, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Dr. Hoang Huu Dung and Dr. Phan Thi Viet Nam.
Striving to become an innovative university
After more than 23 years of construction and development, from a vocational training center for garment workers, it has developed into Nguyen Tat Thanh Semi-Public School of Economics - Technology - Vocational Training (in 2002), then Nguyen Tat Thanh College (2005) and became Nguyen Tat Thanh University in 2011.
The school is currently a multi-disciplinary, multi-level training institution with 19 fields: health, engineering technology, engineering, computers and information technology, production and processing, business and management, arts, humanities, social and behavioral sciences, communications, law, life sciences, architecture and construction, tourism, environment and environmental protection, educational sciences and teacher training, veterinary medicine, natural sciences, mathematics and statistics.
The school has a training scale of over 34,000 students, trainees, and postgraduates with 20 faculties, 81 undergraduate training programs, 13 master training programs, and 4 doctoral training programs. The school currently has 1,445 permanent lecturers, including 979 masters and 381 doctors.
By 2035, the school strives to become an innovative, multidisciplinary, multi-field university with high integration, training human resources associated with domestic and foreign needs, meeting the 4.0 industrial revolution, and meeting regional and international standards.
