Bodybuilder Pham Van Mach continues to make history at the age of 49 when he won gold medal in the men's 55 kg weight class at the 2025 World Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship.

The first day of competition of the 2025 World Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships in Batam Island (Indonesia) witnessed an excellent performance by bodybuilder Pham Van Mach. At the age of 49, the monument of Vietnamese bodybuilding once again affirmed his class when he won the gold medal in the men's 55 kg weight class, the 7th world championship title in his career.

Throughout nearly three decades of competition, Pham Van Mach has maintained his rare desire, discipline and form. Stepping onto the "Batam stage", he showed off the sharpness of each muscle group, perfect posing techniques and the mettle of a veteran champion. This victory is not only a personal milestone but also a great inspiration for the young generation of Vietnamese bodybuilding.

Not only the “ants”, the Vietnamese team also had an explosive opening day with three other gold medals. Nguyen Thi Kim Dung won the gold medal in the women's classical bodybuilding category after an outstanding performance in terms of physique and harmony. In the men's 65 kg weight class, Phan Huynh Duc brought home the gold medal with a strong performance, while Ho Huy Binh ended the day with a perfect gold medal in the men's 70 kg weight class.

This result helped the Vietnamese bodybuilding team have an impressive start at the world's biggest tournament of the sport. Winning four gold medals on the first day shows serious preparation, a solid foundation of forces and the ambition to raise their position on the international bodybuilding map.
