
At exactly 0:00 on February 17th, the moment marking the beginning of the Year of the Horse, fireworks displays across Hanoi simultaneously ignited, ushering in the new year with dazzling bursts of light in the capital's sky.

This year, for the Lunar New Year celebration, Hanoi will organize fireworks displays at 34 locations across 33 wards and communes. These include 11 high-altitude fireworks displays combined with 23 low-altitude and pyrotechnic displays.

The pedestrian area around Hoan Kiem Lake (Hoan Kiem ward) is one of the locations for high-altitude fireworks displays.

The Hanoi sky became magnificent with a kaleidoscope of fireworks welcoming the Lunar New Year of the Horse.

The spectacular fireworks display lasted 15 minutes.

"After a busy year of work, the moment of standing with loved ones to watch the fireworks at midnight is very meaningful. This year, the city organized the event at many locations, so people didn't have to crowd together as much," said Mr. Nguyen Van Hung from Ba Dinh ward.

"I would like to send New Year's greetings to everyone, hoping you all have a year filled with good health and good fortune," shared Mr. Ngoc Huy.

The dazzling fireworks displays, bursting with vibrant colors, symbolize hope for a prosperous and thriving new year.


People eagerly used their phones to capture the spectacular images in the sky.

In Ho Chi Minh City, on the evening of February 16th, thousands of people flocked to Nguyen Hue Walking Street, Bach Dang Wharf, and other central streets from very early on to await the New Year's Eve countdown. An atmosphere of excitement and excitement permeated the streets, with crowds growing larger and larger, creating a vibrant scene in the heart of the city.

At exactly 0:00 on February 17th (the first day of the Lunar New Year), the first bursts of fireworks simultaneously shot up from the area near the entrance to the Saigon River tunnel.

Against the night sky, high-altitude fireworks burst forth brilliantly, intertwining shades of red, yellow, blue, and purple… creating a dazzling and magical picture along the Saigon River.

For 15 minutes, from 0:00 to 0:15, the entire sky over Ho Chi Minh City lit up with sound and light.

At Bach Dang Wharf, thousands of people gathered densely from early morning. When the fireworks lit up the sky, the entire crowd simultaneously looked up, and many excited cheers erupted.


Many people took the opportunity to capture impressive images with their phones, preserving the moment that marked the beginning of a peaceful new year.

“This is the first time I’ve seen fireworks in Ho Chi Minh City, and it was a truly spectacular and moving experience. I hope the new year will bring much joy and good fortune to everyone,” shared Ms. Thanh Nha (a resident of Go Vap ward).

In that sacred moment, many couples exchanged sweet kisses, marking a new beginning filled with love.

Many international tourists choose Ho Chi Minh City as their destination to celebrate New Year's Eve, immersing themselves in the vibrant festive atmosphere of the city named after President Ho Chi Minh.

The baby was carried on his father's back to watch the fireworks.

This year, in addition to the main fireworks display at the Saigon River tunnel area, Ho Chi Minh City will organize a total of 17 fireworks displays on New Year's Eve. These include four locations with a combination of high and low-altitude displays: the Saigon River tunnel area; the New City Center (Thu Duc City); Tam Thang Square; and Ba Ria Park Square.

In the Marina building area of the Financial Centre alone, more than 4,000 low-altitude fireworks were launched, contributing to a colorful and dazzling display.
